Canadian pastor sentenced on December 23; Ministry distributes Bibles in Ukraine; Chaos at airport in Phoenix

It’s Friday, December 27th, A.D. 2024. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. Filling in for Adam McManus, I’m Ean Leppin. Ministry distributes Bibles in Ukraine Reported by the Christian Post, a ministry based in Texas is printing and distributing Bibles and other gospel-centered materials through a vast network of churches and Christian organizations to Eastern Europe. The organization is the Eastern European Mission, or the EEM. This year, the EEM had a goal to distribute 970,000 Bibles and other Christian-based materials in over 30 countries in total and in 20 different languages.  This includes the war-torn country of Ukraine. In fact, requests for materials have increased. Vice President of the EEM, Dirk Smith, says, “God uses evil, and this war is definitely not from a good place…” However, nonbelievers are looking at the believers and wanting to know how they are handling these terrible circumstances. Believers are needing more material to share Christ in these trying times. According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, 6.8 million refugees from Ukraine are recorded globally, and nearly 4 million people are displaced in Ukraine as of November. Romans 10:14-15: How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” Canadian pastor sentenced on December 23 A pastor named Derek Reimer of Mission 7 Ministries in Calgary appeared in court for sentencing back on November 27 after being found guilty in August of criminal harassment and 4 counts of breaching bail conditions—all of this stemming from a conversation with a service delivery manager of a public library. According to Rebel News.com, Pastor Reimer approached the manager at Saddletowne Public Library to ask why the library was hosting events where adults dressed in drag and read books to children, often encouraging the children’s exploration of sexual identity and promoting non-traditional values. The manager refused to engage in the conversation and asked Reimer to leave, which he did, but did comment that he would likely return to protest. Reimer also posted about this interaction on his social media, voicing his disapproval. Even though the manager, Shannon Slater, never submitted a victim impact statement to the Canadian Court, Pastor Reimer was still convicted on Dec 23rd. Justice Molle delivered his sentence, including, among other things, a $500 fine, 12 months of house arrest, and 2 years of probation. During his sentence, he must also write an apology letter to the manager Shannon Slater, be banned within 300 meters of a public library on days with a scheduled Reading with Royalty event, and is even prohibited from “entertaining friends at his personal home.” See the full list of his required punishment in his sentencing in the link in our transcript at TheWorldview.com. Hebrews 10:22-23: Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.” Chaos at airport in Phoenix Chaos erupted the day after Christmas at the Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix. The Associated Press reports that around 9:45pm on Dec 26th, a group of people at an airport restaurant had a disagreement that escalated to the point that one man pulled out a gun and another man pulled out a knife. An adult female and 2 males were shot, leaving the female with life-threatening injuries. The two men were in stable condition, including another man with a stab wound. Two hours later, in an unrelated incident, another man showed up with a bag full of guns after he had recei

By Jonathan Clark Pew Research on Religious Liberty Pew Research released a report last week entitled, “Government Restrictions on Religion Stayed at Peak Levels Globally in 2022.” Governments and social actors harassed religious groups in 192 out of the world's 198 countries and territories in 2022. Christians were the most harassed religious group, facing persecution in 166 countries. China ranked as the worst country for government restrictions on religion, while India ranked as the worst country for social hostilities. The worst countries in both categories were Afghanistan, Egypt, Iraq, Pakistan and Syria.  Even the United States was among 110 countries where some level of government intimidated religious groups. Trump on U.S. Expanding Territory President-elect Donald Trump is renewing calls for the U.S. to expand its territory. Trump wrote on Sunday, “For purposes of National Security and Freedom throughout the World, the United States of America feels that the ownership and control of Greenland is an absolute necessity.” Besides buying Greenland from Denmark, Trump also called for the U.S. to regain control of the Panama Canal if nothing is done about rising shipping costs. Trump even suggested Canada become the 51st U.S. state. Trump to Pursue Death Penalty for Violent Criminals Donald Trump said he will pursue the death penalty for violent criminals. He wrote on Truth Social on Tuesday, “As soon as I am inaugurated, I will direct the Justice Department to vigorously pursue the death penalty to protect American families and children from violent rapists, murderers, and monsters. We will be a Nation of Law and Order again!” Trump was responding to President Joe Biden who commuted the sentences of 37 prisoners on death row. The federal inmates include five child killers and multiple mass murderers.  Genesis 9:6 says, “Whoever sheds man’s blood, by man his blood shall be shed; for in the image of God He made man.” Georgia Allows Christian College Students Financial Aid Officials in the state of Georgia recently agreed to allow students who choose Christian college to receive financial aid. With the help of Alliance Defending Freedom, Luther Rice College and Seminary challenged the state for excluding it from student financial aid programs.  Ryan Tucker with Alliance Defending Freedom said, “Georgia officials did the right thing by allowing Luther Rice to participate in student aid programs while still adhering to its religious beliefs, character, and exercise. . . . The state should never limit educational opportunities for students based on their faith.” Rand Paul's Report Highlights Inordinate Government Spending Republican Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky released his annual "Festivus" report, calling out the government for wasting taxpayer dollars. This year, the report highlights a trillion dollars in government waste. The report includes everything from thousands of dollars for an ice-skating drag queen show in the U.S. to $20 million for a Sesame Street spin-off show in Iraq focused on “inclusion.” Sen. Paul wrote, “No matter how much money the government has wasted, politicians keep demanding even more.” Isaiah 56:11 warns of those who “have fierce appetites; they never have enough. and they are shepherds who have no discernment; all of them turn to their own way, every last one for his own profit.” Kroger and Sam's Club Removed Online Listings of Mifepristone Live Action News reports Kroger and Sam’s Club have removed online listings of the abortion drug mifepristone. Both grocery stores claimed the online listings were the result of errors by third-party vendors.  Live Actions News previously noted how “pharmacy chains are currently experiencing pressure to become certified to dispense the deadly abortion pill.

Christians Face Persecution During Christmas, Trump Promises to End “Transgender Lunacy,” The Christmas Truce of World War I

It’s Christmas, Wednesday, December 25th, A.D. 2024. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes written by Jonathan Clark and heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  Filling in for Adam McManus I’m Ean Leppin. Christians Face Persecution During Christmas Around the world, Christians face increased persecution during Christmas season. Armed men killed 14 Christians in Nigeria on Sunday. The believers had just celebrated a Christmas carol service at the Evangelical Church Winning All. In Vietnam, officials arrested Christian villagers over the weekend for getting ready to celebrate Christmas. Authorities had told Christians they would face arrest if they celebrated Christmas or attended non-sanctioned churches. And yesterday, officials in Nepal arrested a pastor just for giving gifts. Pastor Janmajya Bhattarai had given educational materials, clothes, and gifts to underprivileged children in the area. During this festive season, Hebrews 13:3 reminds us, “Remember the prisoners as if chained with them—those who are mistreated—since you yourselves are in the body also.” Honda and Nissan Consider Merging Japanese automakers Honda and Nissan announced Monday they are in talks to merge by 2026.  If completed, the merger would create the world’s third largest car manufacturer by sales after Toyota and Volkswagen. Honda CEO Toshihiro Mibe said, “The rise of Chinese automakers and new players has changed the car industry quite a lot. We have to build up capabilities to fight with them by 2030, otherwise we'll be beaten.” Ohio School District to Settle with a Christian Teacher Over Unlawful Termination In the United States, an Ohio school district agreed to a $450,000 settlement with a Christian teacher last Wednesday. The Jackson Local School District forced Vivian Geraghty to resign a couple years ago. The teacher refused to use biologically incorrect pronouns for transgender students based on her Christian beliefs. Logan Spena with Alliance Defending Freedom responded to the favorable settlement for Geraghty. He said, “No school official can force a teacher to set her religious beliefs aside in order to keep her job. . . . The First Amendment prohibits that abuse of power, and Jackson Local School District officials have learned that comes at a steep cost.” Trump Promises to End "Transgender Lunacy" President-elect Donald Trump promised to end “transgender lunacy” on day one of his second term.  Listen to his comments from a speech he gave Sunday at Turning Point USA’s America Fest conference. TRUMP: “With the stroke of my pen, on day one, we are going to stop the transgender lunacy.” [Crowd cheers] “And I will sign executive orders to end child sexual mutilation. Get transgender out of the military and out of our elementary schools and middle schools and high schools.” Trump also said he would keep men out of women’s sports, stating, “It will be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders: male and female.” Most Popular Bible Verses During Christmas Lifeway Research released data from the Bible app YouVersion on the most popular Bible verses during Christmas. Popular verses include the narrative of Christ’s birth post also verses from the Psalms and Old Testament prophecies. The most popular Bible verses during the Christmas season are Luke 2:11-14 and Matthew 1:21.  Matthew 1:21 says, “She will give birth to a son, and you are to name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” The Christmas Truce of World War I And finally, on this day in history, the Christmas Truce took place between the Germans and the Allies in World War I. On December 25, 1914, Captain Robert Hamilton, a lieutenant with the Royal Warwickshire Regiment, made this entry into his diary: “A day unique in the world’s history. I met the [German] officer and we arranged a local armistice for 48 hours. As far as I can gather, this effort of ours extended itself throughout th

Biden Pardons Murderers, U.S. Gives Over $2 Billion to Taiwan, Story of the Author Behind “Silent Night”

This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes written by Kevin Swanson and heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  Filling in for Adam McMannus I’m Ean Leppin. National Association of Realtors Attacks Free Speech The US National Association of Realtors has slammed a Christian realtor in Virginia for his stance taken for the cause of righteousness. Wilson Fauber was declared guilty by the NAR ethics panel for “harassing speech” and “hate speech.”  Fauber’s social media posts espoused traditional Christian views on marriage and sexuality. He shared comments from Franklin Graham and other Christian leaders online. In a statement released by the Founding Freedoms Law Center (FFLC), Fauber said: “In 44 years as a realtor, I have loved and served all people. Regularly, I hear from other faith-based realtors that live in fear of being similarly prosecuted for their faith, and potentially losing their livelihoods, if they don't hide their faith well enough."  Fauber’s attorneys are seeking out other legal options in the case. In an interview with CBN News Fauber’s attorney with the Founding Freedoms Law Center, Michael Sylvester said this concerning the case. SYLVESTER: “If speaking the Bible is hate-speech, we've really reached a new low, because we used to value our professions because of the values that they bring into society. So, we really need to say, 'no' to large-scale private censorship, and allow free speech again, instead of the censorship that we're seeing.” So what are Wilson Fauber’s plans in pursuing this legally? FAUBER: “I'm adamant about pursuing the case. I believe the Lord has called me for such a time as this, to be His voice on this particular matter. [H]e has given me His peace. I feel strong about this, and I'm going to do everything I can to expose everything that is going on, and try to right the wrong, because this really isn't just about me. The National Association of Realtors has over 1,500,000 paying members, and so we're all under the same ordinance and these policies that are very binding on our lives 24/7. And, I don't think that that's right.” Jesus said, “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. 12 Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. Biden Pardons Murderers The President of the United States, Joe Biden, has issued clemency for America’s worst criminals. He has commuted the sentences of 37 out of 40, the murderers convicted in federal courts over the years, reclassifying their sentences to life without the possibility of parole. The victims of the 37 include law enforcement officers and children. Some were guilty of murdering multiple victims, including drug lord, Kaboni Savage who lived up to his name - responsible for the murder of 12 people. Having pardoned 65 individuals, and commuting sentences of 1,634 others, President Biden has issued more pardons than any president in a 4 year term. U.S. Gives Over $2 Billion to Taiwan U.S. President Joe Biden has authorized up to $571 million of defense assets for Taiwan’s defense program. That will take the US contributions to Taiwan in 2024 to $2.7 billion — the first major support for the island country since 1970. In response, China’s Foreign Ministry issued a statement laced in threats, quote, “To aid “Taiwan independence” by arming Taiwan is just like playing with fire and will get the US burned.” Taiwan’s GDP is about 6% that of communist China, with a population of 1.6% of China’s. Taiwan’s free market has enabled about 4 times the productivity of the communist nation.  American View of China at an All-Time Low The average American’s view of China has hit an all-time low, positivity dropping from 53% in 1986 to 26% in

Christmas Market Attack in Germany, Georgia Supreme Court Considers Abortion Ban, Nigerian Christians Face Persecution on Christmas

It’s Monday, December 23rd, A.D. 2024. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes written by yours truly and heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  Filling in for Adam McMannus I’m Ean Leppin. Attack on a Christmas market in Germany Fox News reported on Friday that a festive Christmas market in Eastern Germany erupted into chaos when a car was driven into a group of people in the city of Magdeburg.  Between 60 and 80 people have been injured and at the time of this report 2 had been killed including a child.  The Associated Press reports that the suspect is a 50 year old Saudi doctor who came to Germany back in 2006.  German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said, ‘My thoughts are with the victims and their families.  We stand by their side and by the side of the people of Magdeburg.’ Pray for all of the people involved that God will bring comfort and peace in this tragic time. Psalm 34:18 - The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed spirit. Pray for Believers in Nigeria as Christmas Day Approaches  As reported by Mission Network News Christians in Nigeria are facing an increased level of persecution for the upcoming Christmas holiday.  The terrorist group Boko Haram has historically attacked during past Christmas celebrations.  Darrel Templeton with Megavoice comments on the threat. TEMPLETON: "They're trying to scare and terrorize the Christians, to keep them from being bold in their faith, in gathering and in exercising their religious freedoms." Templeton goes on to report that the military and police force in Nigeria sometimes act more as accomplices than as watchguards.  Nigeria is currently number 6 on the list of countries where it is most dangerous to be a Christian according to Open Doors. Boko Haram isn't the only group that persecutes believers.  The climate in Nigeria is currently an open season on believers.  It has been reported that homes are looted and buildings have been burned. Word from missionaries on the ground in Nigeria report that believers there recognize the blessing of suffering in relation to their faith.  Templeton with Megavoice tells us how we can pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ. TEMPLETON: "They're not praying, or asking us to pray, that they be taken away from this, but they ask for protection and they ask for boldness." 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 But He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.  Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.  For the sake of Christ, then I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities.  For when I am weak, then I am strong. Georgia Supreme Court to consider an abortion ban As documented by the Center for Reproductive Rights. In July 2022 a court case in Georgia, SisterSong v the State of Georgia sought to block HB 481, which bans abortions after approximately 6 weeks.  On November 15th 2022 Judge Robert McBurney of the Superior Court of Fulton County struck down the ban as void.  He further found that a subsequent change in Federal constitutional law, the overturning of Roe v Wade, does not revive the ban.  Instead, if the legislature wishes to ban abortion, it must pass a new law.  Just a week later on Nov 23rd the Georgia Supreme Court granted an emergency stay of the injunction, allowing the ban to take effect once again while the state’s appeal continued.  As of October 7th of this year The Supreme Court of Georgia issued a ruling staying the trial court decision striking down HB 481.  This reinstated the abortion ban while the appeal proceeds at the Georgia Supreme Court. In response The Alliance Defending Freedom Senior Counsel Erik Baptist who is also director of the ADF Center for Life has filed a brief on behalf of the Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine asking the court to reverse the lower court ruling that permanently blocks Georgia’s pro-life Living Infants Fairness and Equa

Texas schools removing the Bible from libraries; Church attendance during the Christmas season is half and half; Missouri man found in Syria after missing for 7 months

It’s Friday, December 20th, A.D. 2024. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes written by yours truly and heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. Filling in for Adam McManus, I’m Ean Leppin. Texas Schools Removing the Bible from Libraries The head of a Texas school district says the Bible had to be removed from school libraries because of a new state law prohibiting explicit books. The Christian Post reports that Canyon Independent School District Superintendent Darryle Flusche announced in an email earlier this week that, under House Bill 900, which was passed by the Texas Legislature in 2023, parts of the Holy Bible are deemed unsuitable. House Bill 900 was passed for the purpose of protecting schools from sexually explicit or vulgar content. In an email to parents, Flusche stated the full text of the Bible had been removed because it was categorized under this mandate, even though portions of the Bible will remain available. He went on to say that “through strong connections with local churches they would be happy to donate a Bible upon request.” House Bill 900 defines sexually explicit material as “any communication, language or material that describes or depicts sexual conduct in a manner that is patently offensive under the Texas Penal Code.” Proverbs 30:5 – “Every word of God proves true; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him.” Matthew 24:35 –Jesus said, “‘Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.’” TikTok Potential Ban in the US WNG.org reports that in a brief, two-page order, the high court on Wednesday agreed to hear TikTok’s challenge to a federal law that could ban the social media and video-sharing platform in the United States. The Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act would implement a ban on January 19 unless China-based ByteDance, TikTok’s parent company, sells TikTok’s US operations. President Joe Biden signed the bill into law in April. The court scheduled oral arguments for Friday, January 10, nine days before the ban would take effect. Attorneys representing TikTok and U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland will have two hours to argue whether the legislation, as it applies to TikTok and ByteDance, violates the First Amendment. The Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act received bipartisan support from lawmakers. Supporters of the law cite concerns that TikTok’s overwhelming popularity and Chinese ownership create security and censorship issues. Proponents of the law are also concerned about China using the app to collect sensitive data on American users. Meanwhile, ByteDance argues that the law is unconstitutional and illegally singles out TikTok for legislative punishment, violating equal protection and due process principles. ByteDance also says the law violates the Constitution’s Fifth-Amendment protections against uncompensated property seizure. Church Attendance During the Christmas Season Is Half and Half A Lifeway Research study finds US adults are split on whether they’ll be at church sometime this Christmas season – 47 percent say they typically attend church at Christmastime, while 48 percent say they do not, and 5 percent aren’t sure. Scott McConnell, executive director of Lifeway Research says, “The very name Christmas originates in the church’s celebration of Jesus Christ’s birth. In the mid-14th century, the words ‘Christ’s Mass’ were first merged as a single term for this celebration. While nine in ten Americans do something to celebrate Christmas, less than half typically attend church at Christmastime today.” Although that number is discouraging, the study goes on to show that many don’t attend simply because they have not been invited. Fifty-six percent say they would likely attend church if someone they know invited them to attend at Christmastime. Hebrews 10:24-25 – “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to mee

Disney ends gender identity story line, Vietnamese pastors attacked by Communists, Bible sales up 30%

It’s Thursday, December 19th, A.D. 2024. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I’m Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Vietnamese pastors attacked by Communists In recent months, masked attackers shot two pastors in Vietnam’s Central Highlands. 62-year-old Pastor Y Hung Ayun and 57-year-old Pastor Y Pho Eban lead independent house churches. They are not registered with the communist government. Because of this, they often face harassment from officials. Thankfully, the attacks were not fatal. However, gunmen left Pastor Eban unable to walk. In Pastor Ayun’s case, the attackers used rubber bullets which caused severe damage to his legs.  Please pray for the church in Vietnam. The country is ranked 35th on the Open Doors’ World Watch List of nations where it is most difficult to be a Christian.  In John 16:33, Jesus said, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” Rising threat of global censorship On Tuesday, Alliance Defending Freedom announced that it is launching a new litigation team called the Center for Free Speech. The launch comes in response to the rising threat of global censorship. Phil Sechler is the director of the new group. He said, “A complex international web of shadowy government actors, nonprofit groups, and for-profit corporations are colluding to stop speech they don’t like, chanting buzzwords like ‘misinformation’ and ‘disinformation’ as they go. The Center for Free Speech will work to expose what they’re doing and hold them accountable under the law.” Alliance Defending Freedom has litigated many free speech and religious freedom cases, especially in the United States. South Carolina does not want to fund abortions through Medicaid The U.S. Supreme Court agreed to hear an abortion case yesterday. The case could determine if states like South Carolina can prohibit the use of Medicaid funds for abortions. South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster previously ordered the state’s Health Department to no longer provide abortion coverage through Medicaid. However, several courts ruled against the order.  John Bursch with Alliance Defending Freedom is hopeful that the Supreme Court will side with South Carolina. He said, “Taxpayer dollars should never be used to fund facilities that make a profit off abortion.” Defense bill gives pay raise to soldiers, ends trans interventions for minors The U.S. Senate passed a defense bill yesterday to boost military spending to $895 billion. The annual defense authorization bill includes pay raises for service members and a plan to increase the U.S. presence in the Indo-Pacific. The bill also ends coverage of transgender medical interventions for children of service members.  Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson said, “This legislation includes House-passed provisions to restore our focus on military lethality and to end the radical woke ideology being imposed on our military by permanently banning transgender medical treatment for minors.” Disney ends gender identity story line On Tuesday, Disney announced it is pulling a transgender storyline from Pixar’s “Win or Lose” series.  The character is still in the show, but Disney removed references to the character’s so-called gender identity.  A Disney spokesperson said, “When it comes to animated content for a younger audience, we recognize that many parents would prefer to discuss certain subjects with their children on their own terms and timeline.” Federal Reserve lowers interest rate The Federal Reserve cut its benchmark interest rate yesterday to a range of 4.25% to 4.5%. Scripture-engaged people gave $2,000 on average in 2023, Violence against Mexican Catholics and Evangelicals rises, California forced to allow pastor to evangelize in public

It’s Wednesday, December 18th, A.D. 2024. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 125 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I’m Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Violence against Mexican Catholics and Evangelicals rises A report by the Catholic Multimedia Centre found violence against Christians in Mexico has reached a “peak.” Nearly 900 religious leaders faced extortion or threats between 2018 and 2024. Twenty-six religious buildings were attacked, and 10 priests and a seminary student were murdered over the time period.  Evangelicals have also faced persecution in Mexico. Authorities forcibly displaced over 150 Christians in Mexico’s Hidalgo state earlier this year. Pablo Vargas, national director of Impulso18, noted, “Religious leaders, especially those who are working with the most marginalized and speaking out against corruption and in favor of human rights and peace, are often identified by organized criminal groups as problems to be silenced or eliminated altogether.” England extends ban on puberty blockers The U.K. indefinitely extended its ban on puberty blockers for minors last week. Health and Social Care Secretary Wes Streeting said, “Children’s healthcare must always be evidence-led. The independent expert Commission on Human Medicines found that the current prescribing and care pathway for gender dysphoria and incongruence presents an unacceptable safety risk for children and young people.” Britain’s National Health Service began restricting transgender drugs for children earlier this year. The move came after U.K. pediatrician, Dr. HiIary Cass, released a report, finding such drugs pose significant risks. California forced to allow pastor to evangelize in public In the United States, California’s San Bernardino County District Attorney dismissed charges this month against a pastor who faced arrest for evangelizing at a public event. Authorities in Ontario, California charged Pastor Arturo Fernandez with trespassing despite the fact he remained on a public sidewalk. Julianne Fleischer, an attorney with Advocates for Faith & Freedom, commented, “This dismissal is a victory for free speech and religious expression. Pastor Fernandez was peacefully exercising his God-given and constitutionally protected rights to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. While we have the utmost respect for the men and women in law enforcement, no government entity has the right to silence lawful public preaching.” In Romans 1:16, the Apostle Paul wrote, “I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes.” Bezos, Zuckerberg, and Altman all gave Trump $1 million for inauguration Tech companies are making big contributions to President-elect Donald Trump’s inaugural fund. Amazon, led by Jeff Bezos, is giving a million dollars. Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta is also contributing a million dollars. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman is making a personal donation of the same amount.  Trump noted at Mar-a-Lago, “In the first term, everyone was fighting me. This time, everyone wants to be my friend.” 2 killed, 6 injured in Wisconsin Christian School shooting Tragically, a teacher and a student died on Monday during a shooting in a study hall at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin.  The shooter was a 15-year-old student at the school, Natalie “Samantha” Rupnow, who reportedly took her own life. The attack also injured six more people. Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes held a press conference. He said, “Today is a sad day not only for Madison, [but] for our entire country.” Police have yet to identify a motive, although they are aware of a reported manifesto. The school asked for prayers, posting on Facebook, “We have been flooded with thoughts and prayers. This great nation is behind us. So grateful for the tsunami of prayers for our students, staff, and families.” Planned Parenthood closed abortion mill in Juneau, Alaska The Alaska
