#523: I've got a theory about mindset for business owners - Tash Corbin, Heart-Centred Business Podcast

Full article and show notes available at: tashcorbin.com/523 I want to share a theory about mindset for business owners. It's been bubbling up for a while, and it feels like there’s a bigger picture we’re not seeing these days—especially when it comes to how mindset work fits into the business journey. Let’s talk about why working with mindset practitioners used to be a no-brainer, why it isn’t as mainstream now, and what that means for new and established business owners. How It All Started: The “Must-Have” Mindset Work of the Early Days When I started my business in 2013, it felt like everyone who was serious about business had a mindset practitioner. Especially if you were in the early, scrappy, trying-to-get-it-to-work stages, mindset work wasn’t just a nice-to-have, it was essential. Back then, business strategy was simpler. Fewer tech options, fewer platforms. If you wanted to run a webinar, you pretty much only had GoToWebinar—and that platform cost $197 USD every single month. In other words, you really needed at least one paying client just to cover your tech bill. With so few options, it was crystal clear if something wasn’t working—either you hadn't nailed the basics, or you had a mindset block. If you weren’t doing that handful of core actions, it was probably a mindset issue. Results were consistent, too. People talked about the 3% conversion rule: get 100 people on your webinar, and you'd likely get three clients if your offer was solid and under $1,000. There was this sharp focus, and because of that, if you weren’t taking action or seeing results, mindset was the obvious place to look. ...read the full article at: tashcorbin.com/523 Let me know your thoughts via our Text FanMail! #522: How to create an effective content ecosystem - Tash Corbin, Heart-Centred Business Podcast

Full article and show notes available at: tashcorbin.com/522 Welcome back to our regular programming here on the Heart-Centred Business Podcast! We just finished the 12 Days of #Tashmas, and I hope those episodes sparked some insights or inspiration for you! I know a bunch of you are still catching up (it was a lot, right?)—but hey, you know I love yapping and creating heaps of content. If a daily podcast ever made sense as a business strategy, I’d be right there doing it. But for now, we’re back to our weekly episodes. Today, I want to dive into your content ecosystem—how to actually make it effective. If you haven’t checked out episode Day 12 of #Tashmas (tashcorbin.com/521), pop back and do that first, since this episode really flows straight from there. If you’re all caught up, let’s dive in—because nailing your content ecosystem is what makes the difference between long-term business momentum and feeling like you’re constantly stopping and starting. Content Has Changed... But the Fundamentals Haven’t Hand on heart, I wish I’d nailed my content ecosystem way earlier in my business journey. So many of my tips here are basically lessons I’ve learned the hard way: let me be your cautionary tale! We’re talking about getting consistent and effective with your content as a business owner—so you actually grow your audience, generate leads, and make sales. Content goes through all sorts of trends and fads, but the core principles have stuck around since I started my business back in 2013. Your goals for content haven’t changed—what has changed is the HOW, and the options you’ve got to get your message out. ...read the full article at: tashcorbin.com/522 Let me know your thoughts via our Text FanMail! #521: Your messaging doesn't need an overhaul - #Tashmas Day 12 - Tash Corbin, Heart-Centred Business Podcast

Full article and show notes available at: tashcorbin.com/521 This episode of the Heart-Centred Business Podcast is a bit of a curveball: I’m here to tell you not to overhaul your messaging. In a world where everyone’s shouting that you need to reinvent, revolutionise, or completely scrap your messaging, I’m offering something different. Nope, you don’t need to do any of that. Here’s why—and how to create messaging that grows with you. Plus, it’s Day 12 of #Tashmas... which means there's one last gift for you with this episode! Wait… What is #Tashmas? I do it for both my birthday (1-12 March) and pre-Christmas (1-12 December) every year! Every day from now until my birthday on 12th March, there will be a new daily podcast episode, with a hot tip or practical strategy as per usual… but you ALSO get a gift! I love sharing the birthday vibes, and what better way to do that?! The daily gift could be a freebie, a special offer, a competition… but there will be something for YOU every single day. Why Messaging Overhauls Aren't the Answer I used to be all about messaging overhauls and makeovers. I even have old content floating around about how to “makeover” your messaging. But here’s what I’ve come to realise: Most heart-centred entrepreneurs (especially those in my audience) don’t need total messaging overhauls. What people actually need is steady, gradual improvement. If you can talk about the needs in your market, speak to the experiences of your audience, and describe the transformation you help facilitate—guess what? You’ve got the foundations of a powerful message right there. But so many people are allowing messaging “experts” to strip away their confidence, making them believe they’re not good enough or that their messaging is fundamentally flawed. That isn’t true. ...read the full article at: tashcorbin.com/521 Let me know your thoughts via our Text FanMail! #520: Are you giving your warm leads… the ICK? - #Tashmas Day 11 - Tash Corbin, Heart-Centred Business Podcast

Full article and show notes available at: tashcorbin.com/520 I’m not usually the type to sound alarms or buzz the fear horn just for the sake of it. But in this episode of the Heart-Centred Business Podcast, I want to have a real talk about how you’re engaging with your audience—especially those leads that are starting to warm up. Because here’s the thing: some of you are accidentally giving your warm leads the ick. This came up thanks to a question in one of my group calls, where someone literally asked, “Am I giving my warm leads the ick? As soon as someone gets invested, I feel like I do something to totally repel them.” And you know what? That’s a super common worry. Normally, my default is to reassure everyone—“No, no, no, you’re not doing anything wrong!” But once we broke her process down, a few red flags popped up, and I figured if one person’s asking, we should talk about it on the podcast. Plus, it’s Day 11 of #Tashmas, and I’ve got a special gift for you at the end. When You Get a DM or Email: Celebrate (But Not Too Loudly) Honestly, when warm leads email or send you a DM, that’s cause for celebration! It’s that moment where you dance around the house and do a little happy wiggle. I get it—the excitement is hard to contain. But let’s not get too ahead of ourselves. Just like that time a guy called me his girlfriend on a first date (yep, true story!), showing your hand too fast can feel awkward on the other side. Be friendly. Be positive. But maybe don’t go all in with, “OMG, thank you so much, this is amazing, we’re going to work together and it’ll be incredible!” When you come across that desperate, it can trigger warning signals for the lead. It gives them the ick—even though your excitement is genuine. ...read the full artricle at: tashcorbin.com/520 Let me know your thoughts via our Text FanMail! #519: Your offers need to be more specific - #Tashmas Day 10 - Tash Corbin, Heart-Centred Business Podcast

Full article and show notes available at: tashcorbin.com/519 Today, we’re talking about something I see come up ALL the time for heart-centred business owners: your offers. More specifically, how to make your offers way more effective at attracting and converting the RIGHT clients—without making your sales pages a million miles long. I want to give you some practical ways to get specific, keep it short, and make your offers pop! PLUS I have a very special offer with this episode of #Tashmas. Why Your Offers Aren’t Landing (And What To Do) I spend a lot of time online, probably more than most people, and because of that, I get a unique view of what’s happening across the Heart-Centred Community (we’ve got over 30,000 members, after all!) and among small business owners just like you. One trend I keep seeing? Offers are getting more generic and more vague. Plus, the sales copy is getting longer and longer. We've all heard that saying, “I would have written you a shorter letter, but I didn’t have enough time.” It actually takes time and energy to be precise and concise, instead of just throwing all the words at the wall. Here’s what actually happens: When your offer is vague and generic, people scroll right past. Those posts get the least comments, the least reach, the least engagement. If we want offers that work, we need to be specific… but not long-winded. ...read the full article at: tashcorbin.com/519 Let me know your thoughts via our Text FanMail! #518: Advanced procrastination tactics are on the rise - #Tashmas Day 9 - Tash Corbin, Heart-Centred Business Podcast

Full article and show notes available at: tashcorbin.com/518 Welcome to another episode of the Heart-Centred Business Podcast! Today, I want to shine a light on something that might just hit a little close to home—especially if you’re a business owner who sometimes finds themselves stuck, spinning wheels, or endlessly “preparing” instead of actually doing. We’re diving deep into advanced procrastination tactics, and why they’re suddenly everywhere I look. And make sure to check out your gift with this episode of #Tashmas—it’s a game-changer for anyone who’s tired of letting advanced procrastination get in the way of their big business dreams. Why Simple Works (And Why We Overcomplicate Everything) I spend a LOT of time talking about strategy with clients—inside my group programs, on retreats, in social media DMs, or one-to-one with my VIPs. And something I’m hearing a lot at the moment is, “I just need to get everything sorted before I...” (fill in the blank: launch, sell, send the proposal, pitch the offer). I have a bit of a superpower for cutting through the noise and getting laser-focused on what actually matters. It’s not about being harsh or bossy—actually, a lot of it comes from my self-confessed laziness! If there’s a way to get results without busywork, I’ll find it. I’m ambitious and lazy, which, trust me, is a magic combo when it comes to making things happen with less effort. But here’s what I’ve noticed recently: the simple strategies are suddenly much, much harder for people to execute. Even when I cut the fluff and give clients a clear, doable plan... something gets in the way. People get stuck on all the “shoulds” and “maybes”—and convince themselves they have to do a thousand other things before doing the thing that actually matters. ...read the full article at: tashcorbin.com/518 Let me know your thoughts via our Text FanMail! #517: IWD – The one thing I wish we’d stop saying about women - #Tashmas Day 8 - Tash Corbin, Heart-Centred Business Podcast

Full article and show notes available at: tashcorbin.com/517 It’s International Women’s Day, so of course I couldn’t let this episode go by without talking about something super close to my heart.  Today, for IWD, I’m diving into the one thing I really wish we’d stop saying about women. Trust me, it’s more powerful than you might think. Plus, it’s day 8 of #Tashmas, which means I’ve got a fabulous gift for you at the end—don’t miss it! The Hidden Narrative: “Women = Drama” (And Why It’s So Problematic) I want to talk about the belief that if you get a group of women together, it’s going to be dramatic, fraught, or even “horrific.” You know the ones: “A team full of women? Brace yourself.” Or the social posts that say things like, “This is why I don’t have many women friends,” often shared by women themselves. It’s this story that women can’t get along, that we’re always competing—and it’s everywhere. But where does this idea come from? Spoiler alert: it’s all steeped in patriarchy. When you look at matriarchal societies, this belief just didn’t exist. Women centred on children, life, and community, rather than buying into “divide and conquer.” In patriarchal societies, though, any time women gathered without male supervision, it was seen as dangerous. Why? Because when women support each other—when we educate, inform, and uplift one another—we threaten the system. ...read the full article at: tashcorbin.com/517 Let me know your thoughts via our Text FanMail!
