Babes Watch Buffy

I recently discovered this podcast and I can’t stop binging it. I’ve been a fan of Buffy since it premiered but Cate and Anna have made me look at some of these episodes from a different perspective. Their banter is also hilarious. If you’re looking for a fun and insightful Buffy podcast, your search is over.

Well I like the podcast but I disagree with you two cause Seth green was hot as oz and I would pick him over spike any day. But anyway he was great and I liked Buffy and willow I hated Xander too.

I really enjoy their feminist take on the Buffy series so far. Their insight and interplay is very entertaining. Sometimes it is troublesome when they interpret the presence of a negative quality as endorsement of that quality, such as blaming the writers for being sexist when the sexism is purposefully presented as negative in the episode. There's also a tendency to demand the social conversation of 20 years ago to be as sensitive as a modern show. And they could stand to pick up some copies of the Buffy Watcher's Guides, which might answer some questions about motives and reasons. But that's only three issues with some really fun and quality criticism. On the whole, very recommended.

Two wonderful ladies breaking down Buffy episode by episode! Great to learn from and entertaining to listen to.
