In Part 2 of The Fear of the Lord series, we look at the story of King Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel 4 and discover how pride can blind us to our dependence on God. Through the king’s humbling experience, we learn that self-sufficiency is an illusion, pride has consequences, and true peace begins when we acknowledge God’s sovereignty. The fear of the Lord calls us to look up, walk in humility, and recognize that everything we have comes from Him. And the good news?     Unrivaled - Part 12 | Shawn Mandoli

    In Part 12 of UnRivaled, we explore Colossians 4:5-6 and the importance of tending to what is happening inside of us. Paul calls us to walk in wisdom, redeem our time, and allow our words to be filled with grace—but Jesus reminds us that what comes out of our mouths ultimately reveals what is happening in our hearts. Through the picture of the thorny soil, we discover that spiritual fruitfulness isn't just about receiving God's Word; it's about faithfully removing the things that compete with it. People may influence us, hurt us, and create difficult circumstances, but we are responsible for tending the “thorns” that grow within our own hearts.     Unrivaled - Part 11 | Shawn Mandoli

    In Part 11 of UnRivaled, we explore Colossians 4:2-4 and discover what it means to keep moving forward with Jesus, even after disappointment, failure, or spiritual setbacks. Paul calls us to continue earnestly in prayer, remain spiritually vigilant, and cultivate a life of thanksgiving—not simply for what God does, but for who God is. Through the picture of a basketball coach calling “Next Play!”, we’re reminded that grace doesn’t leave us stuck in yesterday; it gets us back in the game and keeps us moving in the direction of Jesus. We also look at Paul’s powerful request for prayer that God would open doors for the Gospel, reminding us that our greatest opportunities are divinely orchestrated and that some things only God can do.
