    Toilet Radio 608 – More Like Avarice Fest

Kid Rock had a big week. Rock the Country, his patriots-only festival for flyover states, was forced to cancel some dates at the last minute. But thankfully he got to headline TPUSA’s absurd “alternative super bowl halftime show” which, I’m told, went swimmingly. Brady Ebert got kicked out of his new band after trying to start beef with Turnstile. Lamb of God decided that now, of all times, is the time to get rid of the papyrus logo. Behemoth and Slaughter to Prevail got their shows cancelled in Turkey lol. President is angry that you all keep calling them “industry plants” that “completely rip off Sleep Token”.     Toilet Radio 607 – A Wilhelm Scream

    This week on Toilet Radio: Teenage Joe gets to fulfill a dream. We talk with New Bedford, MA melodic hardcore legends A Wilhelm Scream. Guitarist/vocalist Trevor Reilly and Ben Murray join for an hour-long interview about all things punk and metal. We talk about the dearly departed Trevor Strnad and his connection that took Ben from Light This City to A Wilhelm Scream twenty years later. The duo discusses some of their favorite guitar bands like Dinosaur Jr and In Flames and the pain that is having to practice guitar. Other topics include the evolution of the music industry since the 90s, touring small towns in the middle of winter “with dogs with boners just wandering around”, developing a villain character to write music, and building a healthy distrust of fans. We talk about Cheap Heat, the band’s upcoming record that absolutely rips, and get in depth about what it takes to survive and grow as a band for so many decades. Also, Sharon is threatening the return of Ozzfest and we speculate what it would look like and how a Sharon vs Ash feud would go. God, I would love to have his confidence. In OLD GUY HARDCORE news: NJ Bloodline is BEEFING with Joe Hardcore over making boots of their old shirts. Why? That’s what hardcore is all about! Geezer Butler is using AI to try to make new music and that’s f****n’ pathetic. The former vocalist of Dragonforce put together a modern “reimagined” version of Through the Fire and Flames and it sucks. Finally, we put the Dogma drama to rest with a definitive statement on who is behind the vast exploitation machine. Folks… it’s a good one.     Exclusive EP Premiere and Interview: Corporatocracy – S/T

    Meet the intense, young band bringing UK82 back to ATL26. Back in December I caught up with local (mostly) teenaged crusters Corporatocracy after a show with Atlanta extreme metal heavyweights Shepherds ov the Veil, Fleshgrid, and Dungeon Filth. By far the youngest band on the bill, after the show the other bands swarmed around them with praise for their stage presence and the energy they brought to the show. From my perch in the crowd, I’d have to agree. You don’t see many bands in Atlanta sporting anarchist literature at the merch table or drawing out balaclava-wearing crust punks to mosh in the pit. This band of three teenagers and one cool-assed dad has been punching way above their weight in the Atlanta music scene, so we’re happy to premiere an exclusive stream of their first self-titled EP (out January 16th) below. If you’ve ever wished you could go back in time and catch Discharge, Extreme Noise Terror, or Anti-Cimex as young, pissed-off punks full of piss and vinegar, check out the music and interview below.     Toilet Radio 601 – Joe & Jordan’s Alcatrazz

    This week on Toilet Radio: Clown from Slipknot started a Minecraft server and he’s more excited about it than anything he’s ever done in his life. Also, perhaps unsurprisingly, he’s really, really into A.I. We got an insane press release from ALCATRAZZ that airs out decades of petty annoyances, beefs, and drama at former band members. God bless the poor PR guy that had to actually type this manifesto. Tim Lambesis is getting aired out by his ex-wife and ex-band members because he’s a huge piece of shit. Among the many allegations of abuse, there’s also a claim that he possesses A.I. porno of the very illegal variety. Not great! Finally, Sean Killian is pissed at Phil Demmel for not wanting to continue to play shows with the band they briefly had 40 years ago. Folks… it’s a dramatic one.
