Sara's written multiple biographies on the UN's second Secretary-General and now writes children's books that tell quiet, sensitive kids their nature is a strength. Sara's bio reads like a checklist of impressive titles: award-winning author, poet, visual artist, biographer. What most people don't know is that she built all of it after walking away from a career in government contracting and Fortune 100 recruitment.Sara traded the boardroom for words, imagery, and ideas, and found herself drawn into the life of Dag Hammarskjöld, the introspective, poetic second Secretary-General of the United Nations. Sara calls her work on his life a true co-creation, a partnership across time. That partnership became two biographies, Decoding the Unicorn and Simply Dag, revealing a man who was fiercely intelligent and quietly revolutionary beneath his composed exterior.Sara calls her overall approach "eccentricity with purpose." That same philosophy runs through her children's book universe built around Dag the Unicorn, including How to Host a Unicorn and the bilingual Learning with Dag series, all written for quiet, sensitive kids and the adults who were once that kind of child. This work is for introverts and HSPs who rarely see themselves centered in stories about leadership, for parents wanting children's books that celebrate quiet strength, and for anyone curious about a UN figure history nearly let slip away. Decoding the Unicorn has already won a 2026 American Book Fest Award for Best Biography, and Sara's work has been featured on Yahoo Finance, FOX, and Fast Company. To learn more about the topics discussed, or to contact Sara directly, click the link below.Disclosure of Material Connection: This is a sponsored post. Twenty years in education, twenty-five in business, and a thriving remedial therapy practice she built from scratch, all of it looked like a career built on strategy. It wasn't. It was built on a harder lesson: change doesn't happen from the outside in.That lesson came from the accident itself. During recovery, a Buddhist nun taught Cindy to work with pain through the mind-body connection. What started as survival became a lasting question: why do some people stay stuck in old patterns while others reinvent themselves? That question became Mind Garage, a practical, science-informed approach to mindset and manifestation built on identity, not vision boards. Her framework asks one uncomfortable thing: are you making decisions as who you were, or as who you're becoming?Mind Garage works with purpose-driven business owners who know they're capable of more but keep getting pulled back by old habits. They're not looking for another strategy session. They're looking for the shift underneath the strategy, the one that makes follow-through feel natural instead of forced.Cindy's warmth and honesty have made her a favourite on shows like 5 Minutes to Change Your Life, Wealthy & Wise and Basic Bananas. She's currently writing Manifest YOU: How to Step into the Future You to Change Everything. To learn more about the topics discussed, or to contact Cindy directly, click the link below.Disclosure of Material Connection: This is a sponsored post. A trained psychologist. A certified resilience and executive coach. The person other professionals turned to when their stress was getting the better of them. Underneath that, she was running on adrenaline and willpower, delivering results and showing up for everyone else while quietly falling apart herself.Gudrun is a psychologist by training and a certified resilience and executive coach by practice. She lectures, she consults, and she's spent years working with professionals across industries and leadership levels, coaching in both German and English through her practice SMITH-Consult. Before any of that, she built a career on being the person who could handle anything. The turning point wasn't dramatic on paper. A health scare, nothing catastrophic, but loud enough to stop her. She realised she'd built a successful career at the cost of nearly everything else: her sleep, her relationships, her sense of who she was outside of work. She'd told herself she'd slow down after the next project, the next milestone, the next quarter. Her body made the decision for her instead.Out of that, she built START-with-Gudrun. It's not about becoming someone who never feels stress. It's about learning to recover, regulate, and perform sustainably over the long term, using evidence-based tools drawn from cognitive behavioral techniques, mindfulness, and emotional regulation. She tested every piece of it on herself first, before she ever brought it to a client. Her clients are the ones living the life she used to live: entrepreneurs and professionals whose workday never really ends. Emails after dinner, racing thoughts at midnight, weekends that don't feel like weekends. They're constantly available but never fully present, and the boundary between work and rest has quietly disappeared. Gudrun helps them find it again, not through a pep talk, but through practical, science-backed strategies that fit into a real workday. Her work and insights have been featured across media and professional circles focused on stress management and resilience, and she brings the lived experience of recovering from burnout herself into every session she runs.To learn more about the topics discussed, or to contact Gudrun directly, click the link below.Disclosure of Material Connection: This is a sponsored post. John Clubb

Underneath it was a secret he carried for nearly fifty years. John enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps at seventeen, straight out of a childhood in segregated Louisville, Kentucky. The military gave him what home never had: structure, purpose, and a way out. He went on to attend Aviation Officer Candidate School, earned his wings as a Naval Aviator, and rose all the way to the rank of Commander in the U.S. Navy. On paper, it's a career most people would call remarkable. The turning point came slowly, then all at once. In his twenties, fragmented memories of childhood sexual abuse by his father, and physical abuse by his mother, both devout Southern Baptists, started surfacing. He pushed them down for years inside a military culture that had no room for vulnerability. Then, on a flight to San Diego with his own children for his fiftieth birthday, an overwhelming body memory forced him to finally face what had happened to him as a boy. What John built from that moment is Boys Cry Too, a memoir written with Jacqueline Robotham and published by Palmetto Publishing. The book doesn't just tell his story. It makes the case that male survivors of childhood sexual abuse have been left out of the conversation for too long, and it's become the foundation of his advocacy for two concrete changes: making child sexual abuse a federal crime, and eliminating the statute of limitations that still lets many abusers run out the clock before their victims ever get a shot at justice. Kentucky, his birth state, is one of only a handful that has already abolished that time limit. John wants the rest of the country to catch up.Boys Cry Too speaks directly to men who've built successful, high-achieving lives while privately carrying shame and self-doubt they've never said out loud. It's also for the families and partners of survivors who've watched someone they love struggle without understanding why. John isn't a therapist or a policy wonk. He's a retired Commander who spent decades proving himself in rooms that didn't allow for weakness, and who's now using that same discipline to fight for survivors who don't have his platform. His story has already reached readers through Boys Cry Too, available now on Amazon and Barnes & Noble, and his advocacy is building momentum around a cause that affects far more families than most people realize. To learn more about the topics discussed, click the link below.Disclosure of Material Connection: This is a sponsored post. He hosts Pursuit of Profit — the most popular podcast in franchising — and is co-author of the newly released Beyond the Brand: The Entrepreneur's Guide to Fearless Franchising. The story starts at eight, selling golf balls outside country clubs. By nineteen he was running one of the first food delivery services in the US — over a hundred McDonald's orders a day, likely making him the first food delivery subcontractor for McDonald's in America. This was 1991. He eventually landed at Morgan Stanley as an investment banker, only to realise he had traded real freedom for perceived security. In 2003, he walked away and acquired the Master Franchise rights for New York and Connecticut. That pivot changed everything. What followed was twenty-plus years at the top of American franchising — national development roles across PuroClean, Island Fin Poke, Krak Boba, and more. Through Franocity, Cliff now helps driven professionals answer the hard questions: Do I need industry experience? Can I keep my day job? What does a successful franchise owner actually look like? No fluff, no hype. His book, Beyond the Brand, tells entrepreneurs what franchising really looks like from the inside — and how to walk in with eyes wide open. https://mfbpodcast.s3.ap-southeast-2.amazonaws.com/MFB+SHOW+543+Darius+Ross.mp3Subscribe: Email | TuneIn | RSSInterview With Darius RossHow to Turn Homelessness Into a Coaching Empire With The TPS BlueprintOn today's show I have the pleasure of welcoming author, transformational coach, and serial entrepreneur Darius "Dman" Ross to talk about the TPS Blueprint — his framework for turning trauma into triumph and building a life and business on your own terms. On the outside, Darius "Dman" Ross looks like a man who has always known how to win. Look closer, and you'll find someone who lost everything first — and built something extraordinary from that experience.Darius Alexander Ross was born on July 16, 1965 in Laurel, Mississippi, and raised in Chicago. He attended Chicago State University, Wright College, Lake Forest College, and the International Academy of Design. He started his career in banking and went on to become a certified business broker, merger and acquisition intermediary, commercial real estate broker and appraiser, and commodities trader. He has served on multiple boards — including the New York City High School of Economics and Finance Business Advisory Board — and has been listed in Marquis Who's Who as a noteworthy commodities trader and philanthropist. Then there was the period when it all came apart. Darius has spoken openly about experiencing homelessness. Not just hardship — homelessness. That kind of loss strips away every story you've been telling yourself about who you are and what you're worth. For most people, it breaks them. For Darius, it became the raw material for something that would define his life's work. From that experience, he built the TPS Blueprint — Transforming Trauma into Triumph. At its core, the framework is simple: adversity is not something to survive, it's something to use. The pain of your worst experiences contains intelligence about who you are, what you can endure, and what you're capable of building. His "guerilla strategy" teaches individuals how to extract that intelligence and convert it into fuel for personal and professional growth. His HGDR model — Hustle, Grind, Define, and Refine — gives it structure and traction. The people Darius coaches are not drifting. They are entrepreneurs who've hit a wall. Leaders who've lost their edge. High-net-worth individuals who've built wealth but haven't built meaning. They know how to work. What they need is someone who can help them understand why their past trauma keeps showing up in their present performance — and what to do about it.Today, Darius works with Fortune 500 companies and high-net-worth individuals. He has authored multiple books, including Mastering the TPS Blueprint: Transforming Trauma into Triumph and Leadership DNA: Shaping a Thriving Business Culture. He has been a guest on top podcasts, economic panels, and business conferences. He plays scratch golf. He is building toward a $100 trillion infrastructure holding group with plans to acquire and scale more than 1,000 companies globally. To learn more about Darius and get your copy of Mastering the TPS Blueprint, click the link below. Disclosure of Material Connection: This is a sponsored post. The title, the salary, the accolades; but they feel completely hollow on the inside. Kenny Stoddart lived that version for nearly three decades, and what he built from the wreckage of it is changing the way high performers think about identity, leadership, and what it actually means to be strong.A former global cybersecurity executive who spent 27 years with VeriSign, Symantec, and Sectigo, Kenny drove hundreds of millions in channel revenue and earned President's Club honours sixteen times. By every external measure, he was winning. Behind that career, he was simultaneously navigating addiction and serious health challenges, including a Stage 2b prostate cancer diagnosis. When the structure of performance-based identity finally cracked, Kenny didn't retreat. He rebuilt, and that rebuilding process became Identity Gain™.Unlike conventional recovery models, Identity Gain™ is built on a fundamentally different premise: you don't go back. You build forward. The framework helps high achievers acquire what Kenny calls internal assets, clarity, conviction, internal authority, boundaries, and direction. These are the things no résumé achievement or external crisis can take or give, and they are what make someone not just functional again, but stronger and more anchored than they have ever been. The people Kenny works with aren't struggling with skill gaps. They're struggling with identity gaps, executives and leaders performing at the top while quietly collapsing underneath. His IronMind Mentality program addresses both the surface performance and the root cause, beginning with the Iron Audit: a brutally honest diagnostic of where a client truly is.An IronMan World Championship triathlete, MBA graduate with Highest Honours from The Citadel, and currently pursuing a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Kenny brings lived experience to everything he teaches. Featured in Forbes, Psychology Today, Men's Health, CNBC, and Nasdaq, his message is simple even if the work is not: the version of you that emerges from the hardest chapter of your life can be the strongest one yet.To learn more about Identity Gain™, or to contact Kenny directly, click the link below.Disclosure of Material Connection: This is a sponsored post.
