#185: Clara Bow Celebration (with David Stenn)
What happens when the It Girl of the 2020s name checks the It girl of the 1920s in her new song? You get this episode. Inspired by Taylor Swift's song, Emily and Kristen sit down with Clara Bow biographer David Stenn to talk about why Bow remains such an icon. We talk about the feminism of the 1920s, debunk some rumors, and grouse about why Babylon shouldn't have used her as inspiration.

#182: A Hard Day's Night (1964)
It was a hard day's night getting this episode together after our guest backed out last minute. Thankfully, Emily is back and we're celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Beatles' cinematic debut in A Hard Day's Night. We talk about the Fab Four turned actors, the way this movie tried to sell a soundtrack, and far too many connections to Spice World.

Smart Talk About the Movies We Love
It’s always a good time when you share that with other folks who love movies and can talk intelligently about them. The episodes on this year’s TCM Fest were informative and got be excited about attending. Thanks!
So much fun
Look forward to every new episode. Keep up the great work.
Love it!!
Such a great podcast. I find it really easy to get tired of podcasts after a while but I’ve been consistently listening for over a year and every episode is always interesting and great. I love the perspective they bring and the diversity of material they discuss!! I’m a very casual classic film fan, I.e. I watched TCM but never studied or delved deeper into classic films, and this show is great for learning more !!!!
