REAL TALK! with Peedi AKA Making an Aristokrat (September 25th 2018)

For those that were looking forward to some banter, sorry this is not your episode. Lol. The tech gods decided that you wouldn’t get any banter today, as we had an issue with the recording software. However, it ended up being a blessing, as you get another real talk episode ahead of schedule. Now this time it’s non-kidnapping related. We get to hear from Peedi on his journey from being a kid that just loooooved music to deciding that Entertainment was going to be his career, despite the fact that he was really good at math, and was on course to become an engineer. It wasn’t smooth sailing on his road to founding Aristokrat Entertainment; he almost shut it down a few times. It’s a great story. There’re some lessons on perseverance and tips for wannabe IJGBs (I just got backs). Enjoy!

REAL TALK! The True Story of the Kidnapped Chelsea fan (February 5th 2018)

So, sorry for not posting regularly. Going through some things right now, so it’s a little difficult to maintain a schedule. Thankfully I have one more episode in my vault (from my Nigeria trip). This episode, and frankly all the episodes I recorded in Nigeria, got me thinking about changing the format of my podcast. The banter is fun, but I enjoy getting to hear people’s stories far more than the ferocious and comical back and forth. As a result, I’ll be introducing a special segment where I talk to different people about their life, experiences, special projects; whatever makes them unique. I always learn best when I talk through stuff, so as I learn from others I’ll share it with y’all. Haven’t thought of a name for this segment, so I’ll just call it “Real talk” for now. This episode is a first-hand recollection of a kidnapping in Nigeria from a Chelsea fan I met in Port Harcourt called Dybe. It was quite a horrifying experience that he thankfully got out of. Anyone that has gone through anything like this, my heart goes out to you. I hope and pray that the people who have the power and authority to address this inhumane practice do something about it and eradicate this problem in every part of the world where it exists. Look forward to getting your feedback on the episode.

GSW are the New Edition of the NBA (January 28th 2017)SNIPPET

FOR THE FULL EPISODE FOLLOW THE LINK AT THE BOTTOM OF DESCRIPTION. FB and Valolo talk New Edition, 90s RnB and, of course, Basketball. GSW are quickly showing themselves to be the New Edition of basketball. With Cavs trying to do their best GSW impersonation maybe we’ll call them the All4One of basketball… or are they Boyz II Men. Only time will tell. Lots of basketball and 90s RnB references I could easily have called this episode RnB Love and Basketball. http://www.midasradio.com/gsw-are-the-new-edition-of-the-nba-january-28th-2017/
