The Day Alone

This week, we continue our Life Together series with a message about an often-overlooked part of Christian community: learning to be alone with God. In Mark 1:35–39, Jesus steps away from the crowds and the demands around him to spend time alone with his Father. That time shapes how he sees himself, where he goes next, and how he responds to the needs around him. n this message from Trinity's Life Together series, Pastor Nick Price explores Dietrich Bonhoeffer's idea of "the day alone" and why solitude matters for our spiritual lives. True solitude isn't about escaping people or becoming more self-focused. The question is simple: Can we be alone with God without reaching for something else? The Day Together

This week’s message explores Colossians 3:12–17 and what it means to become a people who live together in the way of Jesus. Paul begins with a simple but challenging reality: following Jesus changes the way we live with other people. He calls the church to put on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience, and then gives an especially difficult command: “Bear with one another” and “forgive each other.” That sounds beautiful until we remember that Christian community is made up of real people. People disappoint us. They misunderstand us. They have different personalities, preferences, and expectations. Sometimes they hurt us. And sometimes we are the ones who make community difficult. So what makes life together possible? Paul points us back to what Christ has already done. “As the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.” The Christian community is not built by finding people who are naturally compatible. It is formed by people who have received the grace of Jesus and are learning to extend that grace to one another. Paul then points toward something even deeper: the peace of Christ is meant to rule among us, the Word of Christ is meant to dwell richly among us, and our shared worship is meant to continually redirect our attention toward the One who holds us together. Life together will never be perfect. But it can become a place where the character of Jesus becomes visible. As Christ teaches us to forgive, serve, worship, and make room for one another, He forms a community that begins to look more like Him.

Community is a Gift

Christian community is a gift. In Acts 2, Luke describes a church made up of people who did not naturally choose one another, yet were gathered together by Jesus. They devoted themselves to God's Word, fellowship, prayer, the breaking of bread, and a shared life that extended beyond the walls of worship. This message explores three dimensions of life together: the people Christ gives us, the gifts Christ gathers us around, and the life Christ teaches us to share. Rather than treating church as something to evaluate, customize, or consume, what would it look like to receive Christian community as an act of God's grace?

The Inheritance That Changes Everything

What if the greatest inheritance you'll ever receive has already been given to you? In this message from Galatians 3:26–4:7, we discover how Jesus welcomes us into God's family through faith. The Joy of Generous Partnership

Most of us believe contentment comes when life finally settles down. When the problems are solved, the finances improve, or the future becomes clear. His confidence wasn't found in comfort or success, but in Christ, who gave him strength in every season. Citizens of Heaven

What Matters Most

Who are you when everything you’ve built your identity around is gone? We often answer the question, “Who are you?” by talking about what we do. Our jobs, achievements, family roles, reputation, or success can quietly become the foundation of our identity. In Philippians 3, the Apostle Paul tells a very different story. After listing every reason he could have confidence in himself, he declares that knowing Christ is worth more than all of it. This message explores how the generosity of God gives us an identity that cannot be earned, lost, or taken away.
