Outstanding

The sermons on this podcast are the type that you are still chewing on a week later. The sermonic truth is easy to understand and remember. Truly a great podcast that if you are thinking of one to subscribe too then this is the one!

Really encouraging!

I love listening during my week. I consistently learn something new about the word of God and God’s attributes. I really enjoy the different teaching styles of each pastor.

Good topics not great speaking

I don’t love how either Sinclair pastor preaches. They just - over explain, reiterate, add a ton of detail to a tangential topic, have at least two points to make for every topic, add anecdotal stories like politicians at a debate... It is so so difficult to hang on and listen. I was drawn in by the titles but found myself skipping around to find anything of interest. To their credit, I can’t imagine preaching lends itself to good public speaking - since you have an audience that stays and listens to everything you say and possibly inflates a sense of importance to the pastors’ thoughts. Church isn’t like a professional conference where you can get up and leave if the speaker is talking about themselves too much. Being listened to week after week, speaking in a monologue fashion, without any interruptions likely messes with anyone’s mind to trick them into thinking all their points are worth sharing and/or accurate. There was some good stuff but it takes lots of digging around. They do speak fluently and with confidence and come up with good topics. Hopefully they work out the other problems.
