Had the below interesting to me dream and thought I’d look for a dream interpretation podcast to see if such would help me.
Have listened to two of Michael’s podcasts so far and they are interesting, but think the show is oriented to people who have some basis of understanding of Michael’s theories and methods, already believe in them, or have gone to him for his help or his classes, because I found it all too much and too fast and not explaining things in terms of content and how concepts and interpretations are talked about in short hand?
Suggest that you sprinkle in “For New(ish) Listeners:” entitled podcasts that deal with only one or just a small few dreams per episode and talk about that/those, methods and theories of interpretation in depth, “proof” of efficacy of such, how dream interpretation isn’t like getting your palm read and how things said by the read-ee are incorporated into the interpretation, etc.
As for my dream, which perhaps Michael would do me the courtesy of interpreting in the first episode of my suggested New Listener podcast?
So I’m working as a valet — in a black jacket-less tux with black bow tie outfit — for a club/restaurant, with an East Asian Indian looking colleague.
A new boxy style jeep pulls up and I’m handed the keys.
I get in and the seat is pulled back and the Jeep starts rolling backwards.
My colleague is yelling at me to hit the brake (which I can’t reach because of the seat) or pull the emergency brake (which also even pulling it all the way up doesn’t work) so I start yelling back at him.
The jeep finally rolls back in a slow curve and stops, without hitting anything.
I pull the seat up (which is even more important because it’s a stick car) and my colleague (who is in the car behind) yells for me to follow him to the lot, because I don’t know where it is.
Somehow (while in front of him) I take a wrong turn, and now I’m looking for a place to turn around.
I reach a stop sign (which is on a steep uphill, with such being, as I learned on the steep streets of San Francisco under the tutelage of my silent but white knuckled father, hard to negotiate because you’ve got to milk the clutch so you don’t roll backwards, and I’m feeling uncomfortably out of practice) right when a mother, grandma, and kids are crossing on the crosswalk, so I don’t really stop, and I slowly cut things kind of close with them, and they are yelling at me.
I find a place to turn around and when I do another car pulls up on the other side of the road with a Santa Claus looking guy driving and he is not only yelling at me out of his open window for the close call with the mom etc. but he’s also pulling out a camcorder to film me.
I start yelling at him, “Shut up, you Santa Claus looking bastard!”
Then I wake up, laughing.
What does it all mean?
