Evidence: The Washington County Attorney’s Office stated that the charge was filed after a meticulous investigation involving digital and forensic evidence, as well as multiple witness interviews. University and Team StatusFollowing the arrest, BYU took immediate action regarding Kingston's status: Removal: On February 13, 2026, the university confirmed that Kingston is no longer enrolled as a student and has been cut from the football team. Prior Knowledge: BYU released a statement clarifying that Head Coach Kalani Sitake and the athletic administration were unaware of the investigation until the arrest occurred on February 11. On-Field Impact: Kingston was BYU’s leading receiver in 2025, recording 67 receptions for 928 yards and five touchdowns.
