Good Information
I too stumbled upon this podcast and found the information to by very interesting and relevant. Keep up the good work.
Great show
Just listened to the DVC episode and they did a nice job of explaining what can be a very difficult concept.
We are local after having been DVC for only a year. As locals, we have a couple of options on how to use our points. Last summer-winter, we did a different resort each month for a weekend. Check in Saturday morning, enjoy the resort all day and night, check our bags at concierge (we could drive them home- it’s only 2 miles to Magic Kingdom)- but we stay and enjoy lunch and the pool on Sunday and head home Sunday night. With annual passes we could also go to the parks both days, but our rule was “we are here to enjoy the resort “. Fun to explore all of the different properties.
This year we used our points for Aulani. First time visit for resort and Hawaii.
One thing that was not touched upon was DVC resale, getting points for almost half the cost. You want to buy direct from Disney for your initial purchase so that you get the perks and discounts. You do NOT get those with resale.
One last thing that was touched on is that you can have access to other resorts through RCI with a small transfer fee.
Alright, one more thing. You can also go through brokers and rent out your points if you know you are not going to use them. It will pay your taxes and fees. You can also rent them and try out DVC.
Keep up the good work and look forward to going back and picking up some past episodes.

Great Podcast
I am not what anyone would consider a Disney "enthusiast" or fanatic, but I stumbled on this podcast and I am glad I did. A great mix of information and banter, it was a great listen. I will be coming back and highly recommend giving it a chance. A nice change of pace from my usual rotation of casts. Keep up the great work . . . I hope that you have a long run!!
