Ep. - 1625 - SATURDAY SERIES: THE GHOST IN THE ROOM

Everyone has a ghost story. Maybe it's the door that closed by itself, the cold spot in the corner of the room, or just that feeling you can't quite shake. In this episode, Kate sits down with her close friend and medium Jonathan Mark — who works with both grieving families and law enforcement on unsolved cases, to talk about some of the places that have stayed with her.     From a college dormitory in central Pennsylvania with a notoriously haunted closet, to her mother's childhood home on the Main Line, to a house in Paoli where a four-year-old girl delivered a message no one could explain, to the West Chester home where she grew up. Jonathan looks at photos, shares his impressions, and opens up about what he believes is really happening when the living feel the presence of the dead.        Reality Life with Kate Casey  What to Watch List: https://katecasey.substack.com  The Story Behind My Podcast: https://katecasey.substack.com/p/i-was-the-narrator-of-my-own-family  Patreon: http://www.patreon.com/katecasey  Twitter: https://twitter.com/katecasey  Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/katecaseyca  Tik Tok: https://www.tiktok.com/@itskatecasey?lang=en  Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/113157919338245  Amazon List: https://www.amazon.com/shop/katecasey  Like it to Know It: https://www.shopltk.com/explore/katecasey See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

You Might Also Like: The School of Greatness

Introducing Why You're Still Playing Small (And How to Stop) | Emmanuel Acho from The School of Greatness. Follow the show: The School of Greatness Not everyone is going to like you. And that is okay. Emmanuel Acho built one of the most meteoric rises in media in recent memory. Former NFL linebacker. Fox Sports host of Speak for Yourself. Author of multiple New York Times bestselling books, including Illogical: Saying Yes to a Life Without Limits, published under the Oprah imprint. He has done things no one outside of Oprah herself has done. And still, the criticism came. This conversation is about what you do with that. How do you hold your identity when the world tries to hand you someone else's version of it? Emmanuel turned down comparisons to Michael Strahan because he understood something most people miss: you cannot become the greatest version of yourself by trying to become someone who already exists. He stopped setting goals. Not because he stopped caring, but because he realized goals create a ceiling. Instead he started moving toward objectives, things that stretch beyond what logic says is possible. He fell and got back up. He didn't fail. There is a difference. If you have ever achieved something and felt emptier than you expected, or gotten harder on yourself the more successful you became, this episode will crack something open in you. Emmanuel’s books: Uncomfortable Conversations with a Jew Amazon Ebook Audio Book Illogical: Saying Yes to a Life Without Limits Amazon Ebook AudioBook Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Man Amazon Ebook AudioBook Uncomfortable Conversations with a Black Boy Amazon Ebook AudioBook In this episode you will: Understand why reframing failure as falling, not losing, can keep you moving when everything feels like a setback Explore the self-love scale Emmanuel used to assess himself at a six and a half, and what it takes to grow that number through success instead of despite it Discover why Emmanuel Acho stopped setting goals and replaced them with objectives that remove the ceiling on what you can achieve Learn how to protect your identity when success brings comparisons, criticism, and pressure to become someone else Hear the story of how a call from Oprah Winfrey led to Emmanuel becoming the only person outside of Oprah to have multiple books published under her imprint For more information go to https://lewishowes.com/1934 For more Greatness text PODCAST to +1 (614) 350-3960 Follow The Daily Motivation for essential highlights from The School of Greatness More SOG episodes we think you’ll love: Lewis Howes Solo [Everything You Want In Life Comes When You Let Go] Kevin Love Amy Purdy TOPICS Emmanuel Acho, Illogical, goals vs. objectives, self-love and success, public criticism, identity and comparison, reframing failure, Oprah imprint, mindset and limiting beliefs, breaking through barriers Get more from Lewis!  Get my New York Times Bestselling book, Make Money Easy! Ep. - 1624 - INSIDE NETFLIX’S RAFA – WITH THE DIRECTOR OF THE RAFAEL NADAL DOCUMENTARY SERIES

Zach Heinzerling, the Emmy-winning, Oscar-nominated director behind Netflix's new four-part documentary series Rafa. The series follows Rafael Nadal across the final year of his career, from his 2024 return through his retirement, while reaching back across two decades to tell the fuller story of one of the most decorated and most physically punished athletes in the history of tennis. The series goes beyond the 22 Grand Slams and 14 French Open titles to reveal what it cost to win them: a rare, incurable foot condition called Müller-Weiss syndrome, diagnosed when Rafa was just nineteen; years of aggressive medical intervention that left him with perforated intestines; and a 2022 Roland Garros run played on a foot deadened by nerve-blocking injections. For the first time on camera, Rafa removes his sock and shows the foot itself — an image he had guarded from the public for twenty years.     The series also explores the formative role of his uncle and longtime coach Toni Nadal, whose tough-love methods shaped Rafa from the age of three; the anxiety and ritual beneath the on-court persona; and the rivalries with Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic that defined a generation, including the now-famous Laver Cup farewell where Rafa and Federer sat side by side and wept.     Featuring testimony from Federer, Djokovic, John McEnroe, and the family, coaches, and inner circle who have stood beside Nadal his entire career, Rafa is less a highlight reel than a portrait of a champion in negotiation with his own body — and an answer, or an attempt at one, to the question of why he kept playing long after that body told him to stop.

Ep. - 1622 - PARTNERS: INSIDE THE HIGH-STAKES WORLD OF PRO PICKLEBALL

Executive producer Mark Infante and pro pickleball star Anna Bright join Kate to talk about PARTNERS, the six-part Prime Video documentary series following the meteoric rise of the Professional Pickleball Association (PPA), the league that, in less than five years, has gone from scrappy upstart to the center of an international phenomenon.     Anna Bright is a former Division I tennis standout at UC Berkeley turned top-ranked PPA and MLP pro, known for her aggressive style, lethal two-handed backhand, and high-profile partnership with world No. 1 Anna Leigh Waters. She gives a rare inside look at life on tour: how the sport actually works, what sets it apart, the wild financial transformation of pro pickleball, and the rivalries and romances that make the league must-watch TV.

Ep. - 1619 - SATURDAY SERIES: MELISSA FREESE

Melissa and Kate first met when their sons played flag football together as kids. In this sobering episode, Melissa shares the terrifying story of how her 14-year-old son was approached by an older man on a public dock in Newport Beach in the middle of the day. Claiming he was suicidal, the man drew the teenager into an increasingly personal conversation, asked for his phone number, and later attempted to contact him again through text messages.     After investigating with the help of a local Nextdoor post and Megan’s Law records, Melissa discovered the man is a convicted violent sexual predator with a history involving kidnapping, lewd acts with a minor, and a stabbing that led to prison time. Melissa explains how she uncovered the truth, the emotional toll on her family, and why she wants other parents to understand how predators can manipulate young people through fear, sympathy, and emotional pressure—even in seemingly safe public places.        Reality Life with Kate Casey  What to Watch List: https://katecasey.substack.com  Patreon: http://www.patreon.com/katecasey  Twitter: https://twitter.com/katecasey  Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/katecaseyca  Tik Tok: https://www.tiktok.com/@itskatecasey?lang=en  Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/113157919338245  Amazon List: https://www.amazon.com/shop/katecasey  Like it to Know It: https://www.shopltk.com/explore/katecasey See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
