Mock Draft Tuesday - Building a secondary (which means they got a guard and linebacker in free agency)

Jake and Joe break down the future of the Bengals interior offensive line, where there are more questions than answers. Then, they take a trip to the Mock Draft Machine and, after discussing the latest Joe Burrow speculative drama and drafting him anyway, they pick according to positional value and end up with a bright future for the secondary. The caveat? Well, they need to play in Free Agency to make this approach work.

Must for Bengals Fans With an Appetite for Podcasts

On par with Dave and Laps podcast for best pod, but with more regularity. Great insight and ability to follow the news. They do seem to rely too much on PFF data for guys that are watching the games. I think it is a good tool to compare league wide but should not be the 100% of the opinion. They (jake especially) is more intune with how pff works but to me it is game grades that can be heavily skewed by opponent/ scheme. So an improvement over a 4 week span is not always that meaningful (vigil/oline) with worse competition. I also am not sure they compute the same from year to year so I am not sure if comparing team or unit wide sacks to the previous year helps. It seems like it also has a bad team tax, which you might say makes sense since bad teams play worse. But when a team loses a lot of close games that one player could change like Russell W it should not affect how your DT plays but I feel like it does.

Very informative and analytical

Really enjoy listening to Jake and Joe. By far my favorites Bengals podcast. They don’t waste time BSing too much about unimportant topics. Straight to the point and give very logical and practical opinions. Also agree about Blowing for Burrow!
