Cabaret
Collin and Margaret break out the glitter and eyeliner for the 1972 Liza Minnelli-Bob Fosse classic Cabaret. Newsies
Collin and Margaret sing and dance their way through old timey New York with the 1992 movie musical Newsies. Rounders
Collin and Margaret double down on the 1998 Matt Damon poker drama Rounders. Collin comes out as a closet Real Housewives fan and Margaret reminisces about when Bravo used to be classy. They take bets on drips, work wives, trampoline rooms, and John Malkovich’s prescient Borat impersonation.
-
Sunset Boulevard
Collin and Margaret go Old Hollywood with the 1950’s film noir classic Sunset Boulevard. Margaret revisits her big, weird middle school feelings and Collin confesses his secret serial killer aspirations. Quicksilver
Collin and Margaret go for a wild ride with the 1986 bike messenger thriller Quicksilver. Collin plays 69 degrees of Kevin Bacon and Margaret drops some post-structuralist philosophy. So lonely
This podcast is so adorable! Margaret and Colin are so cute together discussing their favorite movies. It really reminds me of when I used to discuss movies I watched with my ex-wife Janice before she left me for another man. Would recommend to all of my friends!
A must listen
This podcast is "appointment listening". Even if we don't care for the movie. It's fun for my wife Janice and I to watch the film before hand, then sit back and see how right or wrong these two lovebird are. If they ever start doing live podcasts, then we will be packing up the RV, and making a road trip to see these two in person. And I'm not "joshing" you :)
A+
These are some A+ nerds giving thoughtful film commentary while being weirdly good role models for love and respect in a relationship.
10/10 would recommend to anyone who has ever watched a movie and/or loved someone despite their massive flaws.
