The UK Sports Network got to sit down with the new members of the Kentucky Men’s Basketball staff.  If you missed the conversations with Associate Head Coach Alvin Brooks III, assistant coach Mark Fox or assitant coach Jason Hart go back and listen in this feed. 

Today we’re going to hear from Cody Fueger. Fueger has been a nine-year member of  Mark Pope’s staffs, first serving as an assistant coach at Utah Valley and then transitioning to BYU. The connection began when they were on the BYU staff together when Pope was an assistant coach and Fueger served as the director of basketball operations. 

Michelle Knezovic got a chance to sit down with Coach Fueger to discuss his history with Mark Pope and what it means to him and his family to be a Kentucky Basketball coach.

Today we’re going to hear from Jason Hart. Mark Pope has named Jason Hart as an assistant coach in April. He is a nine-year NBA veteran with extensive coaching experience at the high school, collegiate and professional levels.Hart most recently served as the head coach of the NBA’s G-League Ignite squad. A nine-year NBA veteran, he is also a member of Syracuse’s All-Century Team, which honored the top 25 players in the program’s history.

Curtis Burch got a chance to sit down with Coach Hart to discuss his history with Mark Pope which goes back decades and what it is like to work with him now. Plus find out his coaching philosophy.

Alvin Brooks III is regarded as one of the nation’s best assistant coaches, has joined the Kentucky men’s basketball coaching staff as associate head coach it was announced on April 25th.
 
Brooks spent the last eight seasons as the top assistant for Baylor, the 2021 National Champions. He is a 20-year coaching veteran in the collegiate game.
 
Curtis Burch got a chance to sit down with Coach Brooks to discuss Mark Pope recruiting him to Kentucky, his social media and the importance of body language.

The UK Sports Network got to sit down with the new members of the Kentucky Men’s Basketball staff.

Our Michelle Knezovic sat down with Coach Fox to discuss Mark Pope getting into coaching and shares when he told Pope to get ready for the Kentucky Head Coaching position.


Mark Fox, who has 18 years of collegiate head coaching experience, joined the Kentucky men’s basketball staff as an associate coach in April 2024. Fox served as the Director of Student-Athlete Relations and NIL Partnerships at Georgetown University in 2023-24. Prior to that stint, Fox has been a head coach at Nevada, Georgia and California.
