Episode 279: Las Plàticas-How to Touch Grass

Please remember to rate and review our podcast! Check out your YouTube channel @comadresycomics Welcome to another episode of Las Platicas, a show hosted by Comadres y Comics, where we meet with creators and friends to talk about upcoming projects, events and all-around awesome news in the comic community. Today we are discussing a comic anthology that asks a deceptively simple question: what happens when we actually step outside and reconnect with the natural world? How to Touch Grass is a thoughtful and wide-ranging collection that brings together creators exploring our relationship to nature, technology, and each other. Through personal stories, essays, and creative explorations, the anthology dives into everything from plant identification and community building to philosophy, mental health, and the hidden networks, both human and mycelial, that connect us. In a time when so much of our lives happen online, this book invites us to slow down, look around, and remember that the ground beneath our feet has stories to tell too. We are honored to be joined by members of the creative team behind the anthology to talk about how this project came together, what “touching grass” really means to them, and how culture, community, and personal experience shaped the pieces they contributed.
