    Episode #200 - Spoiler Discussion of Episodes 6-8 of The Acolyte & The Future of Star Wars

    In what looks set to be our final episode, we discuss episodes 6-8 of The Acolyte, as well as reflecting on the show as a whole. We discuss the dynamic between Osha and Qimir, the unsettling bond between Sol and Osha, and the endemic corruption of the Jedi Order in the run-up to the prequels. Following this, we enter into a broader discussion on our feelings of the implications of the cancellation of The Acolyte - what does this choice say about the franchise's current position, and what are our fears and hopes for its future? We get serious and a bit cynical, so apologies in advance for the dour note. But ultimately, we end on hope - Star Wars always moves in cycles, and we're both confident that something great will come from it again in the future. It will just be a question of seeing when... A massive thank you to everyone who has ever listened to our little Star Wars podcast. We've been doing this since 2016, and while it feels like the right time to bring it to a close it's still the close of a very important and special chapter of our time in fandom.     Live from Star Wars Celebration! Powerful Light, Powerful Darkness: How the Sequels Expand the Mythology of Star Wars

    *This is a recording of the live panel Rachael recorded with Marie-Claire of What the Force and Laurie, an emerging screenwriter and director - on the Fan Stage at Star Wars Celebration Europe. Rachael has recorded a special intro and outro for the recording.* The Force Awakens begins with a single line: “This will begin to make things right.” As we approach ten years since the sequel trilogy began, this panel looks at how the sequels expand upon and intersect with the mythological underpinnings of the first two trilogies. In particular, we will focus on how the story of Rey and Kylo Ren tests the boundaries between right and wrong, bringing fresh perspectives to a saga known for its binary morality. This panel will be hosted by Rachael of the Scavenger’s Hoard podcast. She will be joined by Marie-Claire of What the Force?, and Laurie Kirwan-Ashman, an emerging screenwriter and director.
