Nubyjas, I'm leaving this review, because I couldn't find an email to contact you personally.
I was introduced to BeerItIs via The Beer Guys Radio podcast, and began listening to all of the BeerItIs episodes. Now 19 episodes in, I feel the urge to write a review and make some comments.
The show makes it evident that Nubyjas has an expressive enthusiasm for craft/local beer and I appreciate the effort and planning that goes into the show. It has been exciting to see the guest list thas been filled with a primer list of craft brewers from the Atlanta area and the southeast.
My critizisms of the show are reflected in my review title. It sounds like this program is a work in progress and I hope the interview quality will continue to improve. Some things I would like to see:
1. A list of regular 20-30 questions for the brewers that could be selected based on how the show is going, but rotated out between episodes. It seems like list of questions is used now, but perhaps expanding that.
2. Caution on asking the same question more than once during and episode. I've heard this in a few different episodes. It doesn't really bother me, but a bothered tone can be heard in the response of the interviewee.
3. Caution on interupting the interviewee. This has been a reoccurance in all of the interviews and maybed the most distracting. Nubyjas' enthusiasm shines through, but seem to throw off the interviewees and shortens their responses. It seems like many times the brewer may have a good thought going, only to be interuppted or cut short by and off topic question or statement.
4. Caution on comparing brewerys, beers, and name dropping. This kind of goes with the interuppting, but it seems like the interviewees are thrown off by these comments.
5. The outro music between clips seems to come in way early and can be distracting. (Not a huge deal, but something that has thrown me off on a few of the interviews).
Because the show has had some great guests, I'll continue to listen, but I hope the quality of interviews will improve. Good Luck Nubyjas.
