The Constant - 6.17 The End

This is it, guys. We've made it to the finale! And while I fully expected to just blubber through the entire thing, I pulled through and didn't shed one tear! Krista had an interesting take on what it all means, and it's a theory I've never heard or considered before. And, while we interpreted how it all wrapped up differently, we aren't in opposition.

We will be taking a little break, but we want to come back with an episode where we answer all of your questions. So get them in to us! I'll make a post in the Facebook groups, but you can also send questions on Twitter @theconstantpod, or theconstantpod@gmail.com . Ask away, everyone!

Thank you to everyone who stuck with us from the beginning, and all of you that we picked up along the way. We have loved doing this show so much, and knowing you guys were there with us means so much. Thank you to Natasha for taking us under her wing and supporting this endeavor. She's the best boss bitch two newbie podcasters could ask for. We hope you come along with us with our next adventures in podcasting. We'll be back soon with The Punisher, and The Vampire Diaries will return after that. You all are the best. Until we return: Namaste, m*th*rf*ck*rs.

The Constant - 6.16 What They Died For

The Constant - 6.16 What They Died For

In this, the penultimate episode of Lost, we learn which candidate steps up to the task of being the new Jacob - and it's no surprise who. We say goodbye, and good riddance, to Charles Widmore and his lapdog Zoe. We worry about the fate of Richard Alpert and Frank Lapidus. And we speculate on what is going to happen in the finale next week.

If you have questions for Krista regarding the series on a whole, DM Jaime on Facebook, twitter (@theConstantPod), or email at theconstantpod@gmail.com . We'll be doing a follow up episode or two so get those questions in. Hey, you may even have some questions for Jaime, who knows! We welcome all inquiries.

The Constant - 6.15 Across the Sea

The Constant - 6.15 Across the Sea

Krista has the same reaction as everyone else with this episode, which was: WHY NOW? WHO CAAAARES? Join us as we talk through this speedbump on our way to the finale.

So what happens? We get Jacob and MIB's origin stories. They're twins, born from a shipwrecked woman who is then killed by Mother, played by the incandescent Allison Janney. She raises them on lies, which backfires on her later. We learn about the Heart of the Island. More questions are raised. Few answers are given. And sure, this exact thing is probably a big reason why people were frustrated with Lost. I just prefer, personally, to get through this and focus on what's coming up. Are you ready? We're not ready.

Also, just a heads up on the audio. Krista's good mic broke and there's a bit of background noise from her roommate, so it's not as crisp as it usually is, but it's not horrible. I did the best I could with the editing.

The Constant - 6.14 The Candidate

The Constant - 6.14 The Candidate

If you've been with us since season 1, you've probably been wondering how Krista would react to this episode. Well...she didn't rage quit!

A moment of silence for our departed friends, Sun, Jin, and Sayid.

The Constant - 6.13 The Last Recruit

The Constant - 6.13 The Last Recruit

In this episode, we've got some bombs, some possible murder, and the groups split again, though this time it seems that Jack is on his own with the LockeMonster. Everyone else heads to Hydra and are immediately captured by Widmore's people, but not before the long awaited reunion between Jin and Sun happens.

It's getting closer and closer to the end now, guys, and Krista isn't handling it well.

The Constant - 6.12 Everybody Loves Hugo

The Constant - 6.12 Everybody Loves Hugo

We're getting closer and closer to the end and Krista is starting to freak out. Here's a drinking game for you: every time Krista says she's scared, or every time she says she hates this, DRINK.

In happier news, we have Libby and Hurley finding each other in the Sideways Universe and it predictably made me cry, as did Michael, which I explain because it surprised even me. We have some discussion of what Krista thinks is going to happen, there is some praise of Jack, and a lot of love for Hurley. But that's right there in the title. The best!

Jamie and Krista are the best. I don’t make up the rules, they just are.

There’s potential, but a little annoying at times

This podcast is entertaining enough, and has its charm. While the hosts do a good job of delving into different plot points and storylines, they show a clear bias for the characters they find attractive and even dislike some characters based on the actor/actress playing them. The hosts often go on tangents on politics and gender politics making themselves sound like teenage girls. One of the hosts has seen the show already, and the other is watching for the first time. The host who has already seen the show does a poor job of not stating opinions that clearly hint at and spoil a character’s future character growth, and she tries too hard to influence the opinion of her co-host instead of letting her organically get to know the characters and change feelings for them over time.

It’s not all bad! I LOVE how they laugh and dig at the misinformation at any given point in an episode. They have great chemistry and have a passion for the show. A lot of thought and preparation clearly goes into the show.

Don’t tell me what I can’t do!

Unspoiled is one of the best podcast networks out there and this should be known in all the lands. After listening to K and J’s podcast on The Punisher (which is amazing and you get background on the comic, go listen!) I knew I had to go back and listen to this. These ladies have amazing insights on the show and get better and better as cohosts each season. (Ya they drag a bit at first but I still love them!) Never stop never stopping!
