The Rewinders Podcast rewinds - and reboots - movies from the 80s and 90s that we watched as kids. We talk about what is remembered and felt about it as a child. Then, we determine if the movie still holds up. In between that we tangent, make jokes, and act dumb in general. Current hosts of the Podcast are Joe, Ken, Andy, and Dan. Movies are reviewed on a monthly basis and are usually released on Monday mornings.

Together they form a rag-tag duo aiming to make things "right". Join Joe, Ken, Andy, and Dan as they riff this holiday film for this year's A Very Netflix Christmas Special. Enjoy!     167 - Casper [1995]

    Once movie producers see something succeed, they will try to repeat that success over and over again. Hot on the heels of Adams Family, producers said - lets pull more intellectual property from the past and resusitate it. Granted, it tooke them 4 years - but at least did something alright. Only to follow this effort up with slop/cash grabs. Anyway - join Joe, Ken, Andy, and Dan as they relive some childhood trauma/excitement through the 1995 movie Casper. Not to mention - tangent for a good portion of the recording.

    Spooky season is here, and we came back to the original Ghostbusters bucket to bring some fun to the season, not just scares. For some, this film wasn't what people expected/wanted out of a sequel - for others, it was a fun movie in the universe of Ghostbusters. Joe, Ken, Andy, and Dan, toss aside structure to bring you a flow of thought on the goofy film, Ghostbusters 2. Then, determine if it still holds up. So, grab your painting of Vigo the Carpathian and join us for a gab about the film.

    164 - Commando [1985]

    First there was man. Then there needed to be muscle man. Then there needed to be manly muscle men. Finally, man's ultimate form came... Manly Muscle Men with GUNS. Peak man-ness comes to the screen with the pinnacle of weak story and non-sense violence in the film Commando. Relive the childhood play of a banding toy soldiers together and making gun/grenade/rocket launcher sounds with your mouth as one man, John Matrix, breaks laws numerous laws he will never have to account for to save his daughter from a tubby guy in fake chainmail on an island that apparently actually exists of the south Californian shores (not Catalina Island). Join Joe, Ken, Andy, and Dan as they work through their steel drum thoughts on Commando.

    Finishing Christoper Reeve's Superman series with the fourth film in the overall series. With the return of Lex Luthor and the introduction of ... Nuclear Man? Or Press-on Nails Man? Scratch Man? Not to mention the use of an overtly 80s punk nephew. This installment tried to capture imagination with such a low budget it couldn't live up to the earlier films Join Joe, Ken, Andy, and Dan as they put to rest the 80's Superman series and determine if it still holds up.
