Shine Bright Like A Diamond

Beyond Labels

The Bible says that when anyone belongs to Christ, they become a new person. Their old way of life has gone. Their new life has begun! (2 Corinthians 5:17). Jesus has brought us out of the old and into newness of life. We are given a new identity, new self-esteem and a new self-image. We are the new creation, shaped by the transforming hand of God!

God's Blueprint

I love the words that Jesus spoke in Matthew 16 and verse 18 (NKJV): “I will build MY church and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it.” And I love it for many reasons, but for this moment, I’ll just give three; 1. Because Jesus is the Master Builder, absolutely nothing can stand in the way of His church. 2. Because even though He alone is the Master Builder, He has chosen to build His church through you and I, His co-labourers. 3. Because Jesus Church is His “Blue Print,” His Divine Plan for mankind and is the vehicle through which He has chosen to use to execute the affairs of heaven down here on this earth. And because Jesus Himself is involved, that means there is nothing ordinary, common or conventional about His Church. His Church is a living organism and if anything, is extraordinary, uncommon, unconventional and supernatural, called to reveal, express and manifest His Glory, His Power, His Majesty, His Love and His Beauty on this earth!

Fusion in Diversity (Part 2)

God’s heartbeat for us to be “fused” together in unity, even though we carry our own distinctions and diversities, is deeply rooted in His desire for us as His people to experience and manifest the fullness of His Spirit. Ephesians chapter 4 and the first part of verse 3 in the NIV says: “Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit…” Did you notice the tone of the language there? “MAKE EVERY EFFORT…” The Amplified says it this way: “Be eager and strive earnestly to guard and keep the harmony and oneness of [and produced by] the Spirit…” Again, the tone and language is pretty strong and directive, wouldn’t you say? Why? Because it takes the power of the Holy Spirit to fuse people together from all different backgrounds, cultures, languages and ethnicities, enabling them to function as ONE body with various giftings, talents and abilities ALL working together for the common good. In essence, it takes this "fusion in diversity" to see the lost get saved, the sick get healed, the lame to walk, the blind to see, and countless of others experience their very own breakthroughs, deliverances, and miracles. It takes this kind of fusion, and cohesion, and ONENESS to see the Kingdom of Heaven manifest in fullness on earth as it is in Heaven. It really does!
