#577: Top 2026 NFL Training Camp Storylines (with Carl Dumler)

    1. Are the 2026 Rams the most "Super Bowl or bust" team in modern NFL history? 2. On a scale of 1-10 (1 being not at all, 10 being extremely alarmed), how worried are you about the Seahawks offense taking a massive step backwards with Klint Kubiak no longer calling the plays? 3. Although the Raiders say they would prefer Kirk Cousins to start the entire season, recent NFL history shows having a highly-drafted QB ride the bench for the entirety of their rookie season is far easier said than done. Is it reasonable to anticipate Fernando Mendoza starting by October? 4. Which of these two first-year AFC head coaches is under more pressure to deliver this year: Joe Brady or Jesse Minter? 5. Head Coach Hot Seat Meter (Warm, Hot, Inferno) -Aaron Glenn -Zac Taylor -Dan Quinn -Nick Sirianni -Shane Steichen -Todd Bowles 6. Are the Bucs wise to let the season play out before making a long-term decision on Baker Mayfield? At what price should they consider trading Vita Vea? 7. Just how catastrophic for the Panthers is Nic Scourton's season-ending right ACL injury? 8. Which team is better equipped to withstand the inevitable regression to the mean that will come this season: Bears or Broncos? 9. This or That -Traded star WR that will have the biggest impact on his new team: A.J. Brown or Jaylen Waddle? -Sophomore QB that will take the bigger step forward this season: Cam Ward or Tyler Shough? -Who will start more games at QB for the Browns this season: Deshaun Watson or Shedeur Sanders? -NFC East defensive rookie most likely to win 2026 NFL DROY honors: Arvell Reese, Sonny Styles, or Caleb Downs? -Which of these two teams is more likely to win the 2026 NFC North crown: Lions or Vikings? -Which of these two teams is more likely to represent the AFC in Super Bowl LXI: Bengals or Texans? -Which of these two bets would you be willing to make: Myles Garrett getting 20-plus sacks for the second consecutive season or Steelers finishing with a sub-.500 record for the first time since 2003?

#576: 2026 Denver Broncos Season Preview (with Brandon Krisztal)

    1. Just how much of a game-changer do the Broncos think they have with Jaylen Waddle? 2. What are the possible occurrences this season that may force the Broncos to change their minds about making a long-term financial commitment to Bo Nix? 3. To the surprise (if not outright shock) of many, Sean Payton announced at the NFL Scouting Combine back in February that he was giving up offensive play-calling duties to new OC Davis Webb, who is viewed as a fast rising star in NFL coaching circles. But as you know in the NFL, when perception meets reality in the NFL, the latter more often than not makes the former look foolish. As promising as Davis Webb may be, he has no previous play-calling experience whatsoever, and one of your colleagues on the Broncos beat, Troy Renck of the Denver Post, is enormously skeptical this move will pay off. He believes that, barring say a top-10 offensive season from start to finish, that it's a matter of WHEN (not IF) Sean Payton yanks back play-calling responsibilities. Do you agree with Troy's sentiment, and if so, to what degree? 4. Can you see a world where Jonah Coleman is the Broncos main early-down back at the start of the 2027 season? 5. How high is the likelihood that one of Riley Moss or Ja'Quan McMillian gets traded at some point during the season? 6. What are some of the top training camp storylines (roster battles, etc.) that Broncos fans should be monitoring come July 31? 7. Can you think of some reasons the 2026 Broncos will NOT succumb to a similar fate as the 2023 Vikings and the 2025 Chiefs did? 8. Broncos 2026 Season Predictions

#575: Dash To The Draft 2026 (Recap of NFC Draft Classes with Carl Dumler)

    1. NFC West -How much confidence (if any) does the Cardinals selection of Chase Bisontis give you in Jeremiyah Love's chances of NOT having the same kind of rookie campaign that Ashton Jeanty had last season? -Would you be surprised if Carson Beck does NOT start five-plus games this year? -Do you see De'Zhaun Stribling as a long-term upgrade over Jauan Jennings? -Is it fair to expect a quantum leap forward for the 49ers pass rush this season? -Aside from the commonly used reasoning of Matthew Stafford is 38 and the Rams aren't likely to be picking in the top-15 any time soon, can you find another reason to justify L.A.'s selection of Ty Simpson more than a month after the fact? -Why do you think the NFL, and the Seahawks in particular, were far more bullish on Jadarian Price than any of the non-Jeremiyah Love RB's in this class? -Can you see Bud Clark and/or Julian Neal playing starter-level snaps this season? -Do you think Beau Stephens has a chance to give Anthony Bradford a serious challenge for that starting RG spot? 2. NFC East -Why do you think the Giants preferred Arvell Reese over Sonny Styles? -Is Francis Mauigoa's best long-term NFL homer at tackle or guard? -Would you consider it a failure if the Commanders defense is not a top-half of the league unit or better in 2026? -Do you see Antonio Williams emerging as that second target behind Terry McLaurin in the passing game at some point this season? -Is Caleb Downs the exact kind of leader the Cowboys defense so desperately needed? -How much do Malachi Lawrence and Jaishawn Barham improve Dallas's pass rush from Day 1? -Would it be better for the Eagles if they start to envision Eli Stowers as a WR as opposed to a TE? -Even with Jeff Stoutland no longer in the building, do you think Markel Bell has an outside chance to emerge as the long-term successor to Lane Johnson at RT? 3. NFC South -Just how good have the Saints set the table for Tyler Shough to have a breakout sophomore campaign? -Do you see Christen Miller developing into a three-down player? -In your view, does Avieon Terrell project as a slot-only corner at the NFL level, or can he play his fair share of snaps on the boundary as well? -Are you a fan of Rueben Bain, Jr.'s fit in Todd Bowles defense? -Why do you think Keionte Scott fell as far as he did and what role can you see him playing in the Bucs secondary outside of nickel corner? -Does the Panthers selection of Monroe Freeling suggest to you that they're not counting on Ickey Ekwonu to ever be the same again after his torn patellar tendon? -With Lee Hunter now joining Derrick Brown to man the interior of Carolina's DL, can you see the Panthers being a notoriously tough unit for opposing offenses to run the ball against this season and beyond? -Which of the Panthers two 5th-round picks do you think is more likely to turn out to be a massive bargain: Sam Hecht or Zakee Wheatley? 4. NFC North -While you had some qualms about Blake Miller during the pre-draft process, do you think the Lions are a team that best fit his strengths? -Why do you think the Lions preferred Derrick Moore over similar prospects like Gabe Jacas and Zion Young to be the bookend to Aidan Hutchinson? -For reasons aside from his foot issues, just how low is Caleb Banks' downside? -Can you see Jake Golday eventually playing himself into that Andrew Van Ginkel role in Brian Flores' defense? -Which one of Brandon Cisse and Chris McClellan do you think is more likely to earn a second contract with the Packers? -Is it fair for Bears fans to expect Dillon Thieneman and Coby Bryant to solidify themselves as one of the NFL's top-10 safety duos this season? -Would you expect Logan Jones to overtake Garrett Bradbury as the Bears starting center by mid-October, if not earlier? -Which of Sam Roush or Malik Muhammad do you think makes the bigger impact for the Bears in Year 1?

#574: Dash To The Draft 2026 (Recap of AFC Draft Classes with Bill Carroll)

    1. AFC West -How well do you think Keyron Crawford fills that gaping hole opposite Mad Maxx starting on Day 1? -How bullish are you on Trey Zuhn III winning one of those Week 1 starting OL spots? -With the additions of Mansoor Delane, Peter Woods and R. Mason Thomas, do the Chiefs have the right pieces in place to make those game-sealing defensive plays they just couldn't make last season? -Do you see Emmett Johnson, at minimum, getting a similar workload this season as Zach Charbonnet did behind Kenneth Walker III last year in Seattle? -When you studied Jake Slaughter on tape, did you see someone who could kick outside from center to guard? -Do you agree with Dane Brugler's assessment on Tyler Onyedim, and do you see him carving out a fairly sizable role (say 20-25% of the snaps) in Denver's DL rotation this year? -How much higher does Jonah Coleman raise the floor of the Broncos running game in the event of another JK Dobbins injury? -Which of Kage Casey or Justin Joly do you think has a better chance to become a starter in 2027? 2. AFC East -Do you think the Jets made the right choice in going with David Bailey over Arvell Reese at 2 overall? -Just how good is this Jets offense set up right now for a potential rookie QB in 2027? -Is starting Kadyn Proctor out at guard the right move? -Just how good of a starting foundation on defense do the Dolphins have in Chris Johnson, Jacob Rodriguez, and Kyle Louis? -Do you think there's a decent chance the Bills eventually get the version of T.J. Parker we saw in 2024? -Which of Skyler Bell, Kaleb Elarms-Orr, Jalon Kilgore or Zane Durant are you most confident will end up becoming a long-term piece in Buffalo? -What's the better eventual move with Caleb Lomu: Have him replace Morgan Moses at RT in 2027, or have him replace Will Campbell at LT in 2027 and move Campbell either to RT or inside to guard? -Do you think Gabe Jacas is a legit deep sleeper for 2026 NFL DROY honors? 3. AFC South -Do you think Carnell Tate can become an effective WR1 for Cam Ward and the Titans? -Would it be a failure if this isn't a top-10 defense by 2027? -Do you think CJ Allen makes for a seamless transition from Zaire Franklin at that ILB spot for Indy? -Just how big of a steal do you think the Colts got with Deion Burks at 254 overall? -Do you see Keylan Rutledge starting games at center for the Texans this season? -Just how much more dangerous does Kayden McDonald make that Texans defensive line? -In your view, why wasn't Nate Boerkircher the best blocking TE in this draft? -Why do you think Emmanuel Pregnon fell as far as he did, and do you think he has a shot at beating out Ezra Cleveland or Patrick Mekari for one of the Jaguars starting guard spots this season? 4. AFC North -Why do you think the Browns went with Spencer Fano over Francis Mauigoa, and is this a choice you think they'll eventually regret? -Just how well do you think K.C. Concepcion and Denzel Boston complement each other? -With the additions of Dexter Lawrence and Cashius Howell, are the Bengals officially out of excuses when it comes to fielding at least an above average pass rush this season? -Do you think both Connor Lew and Brian Parker II are starters for the Bengals in 2027? -Would you be surprised if Vega Ioane receives All-Pro honors during his rookie season? -How legit is the Za'Darius Smith comp for Zion Young? -Is Germie Bernard more than just a consolation prize for the Steelers? -Overall, did the Steelers do a good job in this class of thinking long-term as opposed to just plugging in holes in the now?
