    Dr. Scott Taylor is President of the Expanded Awareness Institute, where he helps curious people explore near-death experiences and what they mean for individuals and our culture at large. A spiritual teacher, speaker, and researcher, Scott has spent decades making the exploration of the nonphysical universe accessible to everyday seekers. Scott previously served as President and Executive Director of The Monroe Institute, where he has trained since 1985 and is recognized as an expert in using binaural beat technology to achieve and sustain expanded states of consciousness. He is the author and voice behind the best-selling Into the Light series—six guided meditation CDs focused on near-death experiences. Scott has served two terms on the board of the International Association for Near-Death Studies (IANDS) and currently co-emcees their international conventions. Scott holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of St. Thomas, where his dissertation explored "Near-Death Experiences: Discovering and Living in Unity." Before his work in consciousness studies, he built a career as a business leader and CEO, and later mentored small business owners as a faculty member at South Central College in North Mankato, Minnesota.
