Stranger Than podcast

The topics are good but the delivery is bad. Must the host use profanities as sentence enhancers?

I thought for a second they were self-aware, and it was finally revealed that the whole point of the podcast was to be a bad podcast and it’s all just some long-form satire, but then I realized it wasn’t, and it’s this much of a train wreck completely by accident.

Serious topics with a complete lack of empathy for the people involved. Used the r word multiple times on the episode involving the atrocities of Willowbrook. Disgusting.

I got less than 5 minutes in before the host was making fun of the names of the gods of an indigenous people in Mexico. He was reading their English translations (because he did not speak their language) and was laughing at them because he lacked the education that would give him context and deeper meaning to their names. Beyond that the sound was bad, from what I heard the hose does not present the information well (though clearly I didn’t get far in so it might get better). Overall just wasn’t comfortable for a person of color to hear an indigenous peoples religion, one they centered their life around, represented like that. As if it was inferior.
