I love it when they review whether or not the fraudsters actions were worthwhile in a pragmatic sense. Production values should be higher so if you can be a patron at a notable level, please do.
I have no idea when I left a review before but at the time I complained about the production values but they’ve improved because I don’t notice them anymore. Although my recent review discusses other podcasts I’m doing so because I suspect most of the listeners and the hosts are intelligent and curious people who are interested in other equally interesting podcasts.
On the episode of May 7, 2025 regarding Alan Todd May, Kath commented that people outside the US know more about Texas than just that it exists. If any of you want to have your mind blown about just how much people worldwide know about the US and our politics give The Bugle a listen. John Oliver and Andy Zaltzman started the podcast, until John Oliver became the Senior British correspondent for Jon Stewart from 2006- 2013. Andy hosts the podcast with a rotating cast of comedians from Scotland, Ireland, England, New Zealand, Australia, and the US. There may be some from Canada and other Anglophone nations but I’m not sure. It’s a great show. I listen to Kath and Jake regularly and have recommended them in other formats. I caution listeners to beware of Jake’s salty language but it doesn’t bother me. (There’s a lot of interesting research on the effect of swearing on the speaker and John McWhorter has discussed the evolution of the language of swearing on Lexicon Valley.) The chemistry between cohosts is always important and these two do, regardless of whether or not Jake talks over Kath.
