As a first time listener to the podcast I am adding For the Church Podcast to my “must listen” list!! I am a big podcast listener and rarely leave a rating….this show needs to get pushed to the top of the list of recommendations for new listeners!!
Jared, as you talked about journaling scripture, not as a theological study but just as God was speaking to you in your circumstance, I thought, “The word is living and active….”(Heb 4:12) I too was raised in the church and could give a clear explanation of Jesus and his work on the cross, to save those who would believe and the promise of life with him…yet, as a ten year old, didn’t understand that it needed to be more than head knowledge. A missionary FROM Japan helped me to understand the importance of moving it from head to heart knowledge. Thank you both for moving from a heady theology to an understandable one. I am studying for an MAT to actually understand the terms I only have layman’s words for. This show seems to do just that. (Can it be offered for credit?! 😜)
