WoT Spoilers

I absolutely enjoyed the first installment of “Podcast It Donut”. I just finished book 7 of DCC over the holiday and literally started looking for Podcasts on the books earlier this week, so You were right on time. BTW… been a huge fan and started listening back when WOT Spoilers was just you and Patrick way back in the day. Thank You Sir and Lady😇

The name of the pod is the perfect description. The hosts dig deep into each chapter and are very knowledgeable. Even on rereads I lose the thread sometimes and this pod keeps me grounded. Above everything, the passion the hosts have for this series and RJ shines through. In response to negative reviews. Yes, there is a transition period when Aradia took Patrick’s place. Trust me, keep listening and Aradia will quickly earn your adoration. She is very smart, witty, and puts a lot of effort into perfecting this medium. Some points of praise: -Very smart for them to bring in a bunch of guests at the point Patrick left. I’ve discovered so many more podcasts thru there guests. -Amazingly well produced pod for a 2 person effort -Brilliant idea smattering the last chapter of WH throughout CoT -Love how they go over popular fan theories and even bring in new very interesting theories -I always love hearing these two randomly start talking about science My only (small) nitpick: -It gets frustrating when the hosts essentially invalidate Sanderson’s writing because RJ would have done everything different. All of us are in the same boat, we would’ve wanted RJ to finish the series and had a hard time adjusting/accepting a new host, I mean author…sound familiar? At the same time, I do appreciate their real authenticity.

Been listening since almost there very beginning and happy to say that the podcast has only improved. Changing hosts is always a difficult move, but the show has only gotten stronger, more in depth, and more entertaining. Keep up the good work.

I’ve listened to this whole series over the years. I binged most of it as I only found it after I had gone the WoT series a couple of times. Then finally caught up and listen fortnightly. To be clear it’s a really good podcast.. up until they get to the Brandon Sanderson books. At that point they spend far too much time pointing out every single thing they don’t like about Sanderson’s character choices and style. The criticism is often valid. But it was made at the point in the series when the author transition occurred and then gets repeated again and again and again to the point where it detracts from the enjoyable aspects of the podcast. I wish they would shift a bit more towards talking about the characters and the story as written and less about how they think it should be written. The balance of conversation has gone too far towards complaining.
