I often help clients through a very specific cycle. It starts with finally getting what they want, followed by what I call the pit of despair. Here's how it usually works. You build up energy, beliefs, patterns, and expectations around something you want. Maybe it is more money, more success, a bigger business, or a major goal. You think about it constantly. You visualize it. You work toward it. You send the emails, make the calls, and do everything you believe you are supposed to do. Then suddenly, things start happening. The opportunities arrive. The money comes in. The growth begins. And then, almost immediately, you crash. That crash is important to understand. What usually happens is that you hit an internal wall. A subconscious limit. A place where part of you believes, "This is enough," even though another part of you knows you want more. The truth is, human beings naturally expand. Once we experience growth, we often desire more growth. That drive itself is not wrong. It is part of how we evolve. The key is learning how to pursue more in a way that is authentic and aligned with who you really are, not through performance or comparison. Everyone has their own rhythm, personality, and way of creating success. Your path will not look like anyone else's. Most people experience success in waves. They rise, then fall. Rise, then fall. Peak and valley over and over again until eventually they become exhausted and want to quit. Ironically, that moment is often right before the breakthrough. But most people do not understand the process. They do not know how to recover from burnout mentally, emotionally, energetically, and physically. Burnout is not just physical exhaustion. It is also mental fatigue. Your mind gets tired from constantly pushing toward the next level. And when the mind gets tired, the body follows. This is the stage where quitting becomes tempting. I have seen it thousands of times. People quit while building businesses, launching courses, expanding financially, selling companies, or pursuing meaningful goals. There are also smaller quits along the way. Quiet moments where people slowly pull back from their own potential. The important thing to realize is that many of those quitting patterns were learned. Most people were conditioned to operate only within a certain level of success, visibility, or comfort. Going beyond that can feel unfamiliar or even unsafe. Some people call this fear of success. I see it differently. I believe many people simply reach a level where life becomes "okay," and they were taught that okay is enough. I disagree with that. You are capable of growth beyond survival, beyond settling, and beyond repeating the same peaks and valleys. What you really want is what I call an upward trending spiral. Growth that continues sustainably, without constantly crashing back down. That requires unlearning burnout patterns and building a new relationship with success, energy, and expansion.
