Being a previous student of Mr. Cook it is always a welcome event to hear his adventures and misadventures in life. Being able to hear his struggles of what he had to deal with and with such powerful words and very relatable experienced and stories is just, well more than amazing and fantastic for an already amazing teacher (He was the greatest and most relatable one I ever had), well just to say have you ever seen a teacher have their own podcast too? Each podcast I have listened has been filled with emotion whether its from the sadness and depression from "The Coward" or the funny and laid-backness of the "Hannisodes", each podcast episode brings something fulfilling (or emptying) to the table. I have yet to listen to all of them so far as I only recently started listening, but I would have to say "The Alligator's Nest", "The Three Beggars", and "The Plinian Eruption" are my top 3 favorites whether its the familiarity of a similar environment, the fear of the future of being in college, or something else entirely, they just grabbed my heart and tugged it in just the right way. Honestly despite the fact I knew before hand Cameron experienced troubles I could not have expected him to have these and still come out to be the amazing man and story teller he is today is awe inspiring. Going back to talking directly about the podcast there is just the right mix of story mood and tones, not too many slow and carefree episodes, not too many depressing and saddening ones, and not to little happy and nostalgic episodes. Just Right. While the early episodes seem to have a bit of echo that is quickly fixed and eliminated, and on the note of sound having low music and interludes during the podcast really give more power and immersion to each story. Cameron has a great taste in really not overly popular artists that I never would have heard of before if not for him and this podcast and being able to compliment the story with them is just incredible. To maybe temporarily conclude this review I would say, watch it especially those around the high school and college age. I will likely come back to further this review after I have caught up to the current episode and for now I will stop myself from rambling on.
