Furness Show 8-21: Media censorship, Danny O'Neil, Brandon Huffman and Georgetown Brewery!

Ian is live from Georgetown Brewery for the release of the Mayor IPA! Matt Calkins' resignation from the Seattle Times has turned into something it wasn't meant to be. Ian also pays tribute to all of those at Georgetown who spend their time, money and effort supporting Hilinski's Hope, Avery Huffman DIPG Foundation and The Jordan Morris Foundation. We listen in to Matt Calkins' interview with Softy and Dick yesterday, in which he discussed the reason behind his resignation. Ian has some thoughts. Looking at what happens in training camp, Ian revisits a great conversation with Jalen Milroe from earlier this week, in which he discusses his learning process throughout the professional level, as well as what he learned from his family and college experience. He discusses his relationship with the current locker-room, as well as Terrion Arnold. Danny O'Neil, The Dang Apostrophe! Danny discusses Matt Calkins' resignation, especially through his experience at the Seattle Times. Danny tells us how he wove Shakespear into the Mariners' devastating 22-0 loss to the Brewers. Danny believes whatever the Mariners do to change, they need to examine their formula. Kade Anderson comes up - is this the right time? Brandon Huffman, Rival Sports joins Ian at Georgetown Brewery to give us an update on the Avery Huffman DIPG foundation and his family's motivation to keep it going. Of course, we talk college football and what this season looks like for our local teams. Mat Connelly and Manny Chao, Georgetown Brewing sit down with Ian to talk about the initiation of the "Mayor IPA" and how much the community support means to them and why they give back, including those whom Ian supports. Rob Rang, FOX Sports and BC Lions joins Ian to preview this weekend of NFL football. He gives us his takeaways from the first preseason game against the Cowboys and tells us who we should be watching as the Seahawks take on Tennessee this weekend. We hear from you via talkbacks and texts and talk to Softy! See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Jake Bobo, Seahawks WR sat down with Ian at training camp and we take a listen to what he had to say about the Super Bowl winning year, why he stayed with the Seahawks and what he's expecting this season coming up. What should we expect from Jalen Milroe? We listen into what Hugh Millen has to say about it. Danny O'Neil, The Dang Apostrophe! joins Ian for the raucous time it always is. Do the Mariners need a different voice in their clubhouse? Danny and Ian reflect on the leaders we've seen at the helm in professional sports here in Seattle.
