Furness Show 6-22: Mollywhop Monday with Chris Crawford and Nathan Bishop!

The Kraken made the right moves this weekend. Ian is very unimpressed by the US Open at Shinnecock, but he is unbelievably impressed by Seattle's hosting of the World Cup. Everything he saw throughout the way Seattle hosted the games in this city is top notch. Jess was down there and weighs in on everything she saw, and it echoes Ian's thoughts. Ian is concerned with the Mariners, but it doesn't have anything to do with the injuries. We take a sneak peek into what Nathan Bishop has to say about the team so far. How would you describe this season as we're almost to the halfway point? Ian wants to see the Mariners play with more passion. Plus, we announce our Green Mountain Pellet Grill winner! Mollywhop Monday with Chris Crawford and Nathan Bishop! We are almost at the halfway point of the Mariners season, so where does the team stand? Nathan feels as though they're uninspired - so what do they need to do to change it? Plus, what do they need to do to put them in contention, as we sit on the AL being so down this year? They need to take advantage. Mollywhop continues with the guys discussing the stats they want to see improved. Ian wants to hear from you after listening to the guys' impressions of the Mariners this season. Logan Gilbert is named American League player of the week. The Daily Power Play!  Ian previews the NHL Draft as well as giving some insight on the fact that players have more of a choice as to where they want to play. The good news is that Bobby McMann chose to stay here in Seattle, which is a sign of better things to come. We discuss How wonderful the city of Seattle has been to host the World Cup - is there any comparable sports event we've had here? We check in on the texts and talkbacks and finally talk to Softy! Furness Show 6-18: Ryan Leaf, Eno Sarris and Danny O'Neil

The World Cup pandemonium is upon us! Ian and Jess discuss what you'll get to see and hear. Mariners need to just finish out their series with the Orioles with a win. Ryan Leaf, New USA Network Analyst for the Pac-12 joins Ian to give us an update from the links, discuss his new role as lead analyst for USA and the Pac-12 as well as his opportunity to call college basketball this season. He also discusses everything that Teresa Gould has done to rebirth the conference and his impressions of what Kirby Moore has done this year. US Open is underway and it is WINDY! Ian is glad that Leaf is representing the Pac-12 instead of others who covered in the past. The World Cup is special, whether you're a soccer fan or not. Ian is happy that people want to watch sports together again and tomorrow should be very fun. Eno Sarris, The Athletic joins Ian to explain what the issue is with Driveline in baseball, why analytics are being criticized and what's behind the research. Also, what's up with the 'back to the piggyback' situation with the Mariners - what does it tell us about the rotation? Also, we delve into the trade market and what the Mariners might do. In The Daily Power Play: The Kraken are catching strays from Vegas and Ian wants to get to the bottom of it. Danny O'Neil, The Dang Apostrophe! Danny discusses his experience with the Knicks celebration and how he survived. What would be comparable to that 'celebration' here in Seattle? We check your texts and talk to Softy! Ian shares his thoughts on the games he's watched and the World Cup has been phenomenal so far. Jess is back from Australia and shares her experiences watching Australia win while she was there. Jason Botterill, Kraken GM sits down with Ian live to discuss the 'audit' going on in the NHL with the suspension process, how important relationships are in hockey and how collaboration works in the league. Jason takes us deep into the Kraken plans for this upcoming season. Ian wants to know why the NFL is going so far away to Australia where nobody truly cares about the sport. England is enthusiastic, but there are countries that don't really care enough to put teams through it. Cal Raleigh is back in the lineup tonight and we'll see what he looks like. Ian gives accolades to Ryon Healy for his analysis on Cal, especially as he said 'he looks to be back to normal'. Furthermore, we get into the Brendan Sorsby situation. Joe Sheehan, The Joe Sheehan Newsletter tells Ian his super fun prop bets for the World Cup. Cal Raleigh returns to the lineup for Seattle, and Joe explains why it's a big deal. He doesn't see him at DH on his days off during his return. Joe also explains how important a catcher is to a team. As always, Joe dives into some serious numbers as they pertain to the Mariners. Joe also dives into the potential trades we could see. Finally, we discuss where we'll see JP Crawford play. The Daiy Power Play presents: John Totrarella is out in Vegas. Ian revisits his conversation with Jason Botterill and what the Kraken are looking to do in this upcoming season. John Lund, Unleashed! John is on time! What a record.
