Sergio Reyes, a senior at Leadership and Public Service High School in Lower Manhattan, was shot 14 times and killed by police after allegedly holding up a bodega with a fake gun in February 2017. Sergio's classmates created this three-part podcast to honor their friend and explore the narratives and social forces surrounding the events that led to his death.

    In Episode 2, the Justice for Sergio team travels to Bushwick, Brooklyn, the neighborhood where Sergio Reyes lived and died, and explores the role of guns in the lives of police officers and teenagers in New York City.
