    Not Everything Is a Lesson

Share a thought, ask a question 🩵 What if the thing that happened to you doesn’t have a lesson in it? What if it doesn’t mean anything at all? Something hard happens, and almost instantly your mind starts racing to find the lesson, the reason, the meaning. We explore why we reach for meaning so fast (hello, nervous system), the difference between feeling something fully and forcing it to mean something, and then guides you through a simple somatic practice for letting an emotion move without demanding that it explain itself.  Consider this your permission slip to feel it first, and understand it later, if at all. Making meaning too soon can be a form of avoidance. Feeling something fully and forcing it into a lesson are not the same thing. If real meaning comes, it comes later, from a regulated place, not in the thick of it. In the raw moment, your only job is to feel it and stay close to yourself.A practice you can keep: notice where you feel it in your body, place a hand there, tell yourself, "I don't have to make this mean anything," and let it move.Come share with me on Instagram at @Elena_Lipson: what is something you have been trying to make mean something when maybe you just need to feel it first?  No need to have it figured out. You can just let it be witnessed. 🎧 Subscribe to An Intuitive Life wherever you listen to podcasts. 📲 Follow on Instagram: @Elena_Lipson Support the show 💛 Looking for support? What if you did it scared?

Share a thought, ask a question 🩵 What if you just did it scared? So often we start something and stall out, not because we can't, but because fear, indecision, and overthinking talk us out of it.  And that's not a flaw; it's your nervous system trying to keep you safe. In this episode, we talk about making a different kind of decision: to trust the hell yes in your body, take the messy first step, and let the momentum and self-trust you build matter more than waiting for a perfect moment that never actually comes.  Part permission slip, part pep talk, and a little bit of "f**k it, just do it," this one is your nudge to stop overthinking and go do some cool shit. Overthinking is one of the fastest ways to kill your dreams. The self-trust you gain from taking action is more powerful and sustainable than waiting until you have one hundred percent certainty.Indecision is often a protective habit, not your identity. When life gets heavy, your nervous system gets protective. You get to notice that, make it light, and gently choose again.Start where you are, big or tiny. From drawing for twenty minutes to showing up consistently in your business, what have you been talking yourself out of? This is your invitation to name it and begin.Curious how you actually make decisions? Part 2: Regulate to Receive: One Simple Tool to Calm Your Nervous System

Share a thought, ask a question 🩵 In Part 1, we named the what: you can't hear your intuition when your nervous system is running in survival mode. Today we get practical with one simple, portable, free tool you can use anywhere. I walk you through a short round you can follow along with live, gently telling your body the one message that changes everything: I'm safe right now.  You'll also hear the science that makes this more than woo (how this tool can lower cortisol and calm your brain's alarm center, and why your gut feelings are real information) alongside the deeper truth that your intuition is a genuine gift you carry, one women have trusted for thousands of years.  Calm the body, and you can finally hear yourself again. This is regulation you can do in the moment. A short round can lower your stress response and shift your state on purpose, so you're no longer drowning in the noise. It's not just woo, and it's more than science. Your gut has its own web of neurons quietly signaling before your thinking mind catches up (there's even a word for it: interoception), and your intuition also knows what the data can't explain. It's a real gift, and it's yours.Keep it in your pocket this week. One round of this tool in the car, before a hard conversation, or instead of reaching for your phone. You're not just calming down; you're tuning the instrument.Support the show 💛 Looking for support? Part 1: Regulate to Receive: Why You Can't Hear Your Intuition

Share a thought, ask a question 🩵 Have you ever known something was off, but couldn't tell if it was intuition, fear, anxiety, or someone else's voice? In this first episode of a 3-part journey, we look at the what: the real reason your inner knowing feels so hard to hear.  Intuition is quiet, subtle, and felt in the body, but when your nervous system is in some spectrum of survival mode, it's scanning for danger instead of tuning to that quiet channel. It's not a wisdom problem. It's a receiving-the-signal problem. I share my own journey through autoimmune disease and explore the link between nervous system regulation and intuition, plus a gentle first step to start tuning back in. Your intuition is a soft voice in the next room, and fight-or-flight is a fire alarm in the room you're standing in. The voice never leaves. You just can't hear it over the alarm.Your body is the bridge to your intuition, your original intelligence, but chronic pushing through, scrolling, and self-doubt disconnect you from it. And the closer you get to your own truth, the louder the distractions tend to get. This week, just notice (no fixing): When do I feel most cut off from myself? What state is my body in, and are there certain activities that leave me more dysregulated? Ready to go deeper into your intuition? Book your Intuitive Strategy Session! This is a focused, one-on-one session designed to cut through the noise, clarify your next steps, and create a plan that feels aligned and doable. Are we connected on Instagram? Discernment in Midlife: The Real Life Hack Is Knowing Yourself

Share a thought, ask a question 🩵 Somewhere in midlife, someone asks what you want — and you realize you're not sure anymore.  Not because you've lost yourself, but because you got so good at reading everyone else's needs that your own signal went quiet.  You'll learn how to turn your body back into the compass it was always meant to be, starting with the smallest, lowest-stakes choices of your day. Why not knowing what you want is a skill, not a failure — and how a lifetime of attuning to others quieted your own inner signalWhat a yes and a no actually feel like in your body — expansion versus contraction, and how to read that as real informationThe low-stakes practice — using coffee, the menu, your closet, and an open afternoon as reps to rebuild your intuitionThe decision portal and the third door — so that when the big choices come, your inner compass is already fluent✨ Start with 7 Days of Self-Trust: a gentle, doable way to begin tuning back into yourself and practicing your yes and your no in the small, everyday moments.  💌 And if you're feeling the pull toward something deeper — DM me the word "COMPASS" to ask about private coaching or to book a Vision Session, where we get quiet, listen in, and start mapping the next chapter of the woman you're becoming.
