    You're Growing Right Now - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Fri. 5-15-26 #1877

    “Send Coach John a message” For my last pre-recorded, post surgery episode (hopefully), I’m leaning on a legend.  John C. Maxwell (@TheJohnCMaxwell) is someone that has been around for a very long time. I remember for most of my life knowing who this guy is and finding my way to being connected to his teachings. This one is a gem that he shares with us today. “The only guarantee that tomorrow is going to be better than today is that you’re growing right now.”  Let this clip sink in a bit. Listen to it a couple of times. In our growth during tough times, we have the choice of learning from those moments, in order for us to have a better tomorrow. This is something that I know I need to do more of - especially during my recovery from my surgery. Not easy times right now. Painful times right now. But I know I’m getting better from what I had to go through. This lesson I need to keep leaning on, stay connected to, because I know there will be other tough times to get through and to learn from as I’m going through them. You know what??  The same goes for you. The same goes for everyone. We just need to remember this for our moments of tough times so that we can grow from what we learn about going through them.  Here’s to better tomorrows.     Be The Energy That Changes The Room - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Thurs. 5-14-26 #1876

    “Send Coach John a message” He scores again… Mark Hickie (@MPHickie) shared another gem that caught my heart and my ear.  I’ve heard this before, actually many times, but I needed to hear it explained this way:  “Don’t be a thermometer that reflects the room. Be a thermostat that changes it. Stay grounded, set the tone & bring the energy you want others to feel. Measure the atmosphere if you must — but don’t stop there. Change it.” The clip he shared was from Devante Warner (@thedevantewarner).  Love the strength and courage of being the person that brings peace into chaos. Brings faith into doubt. The more we can learn to be the thermostat in our lives, the more control we can have in situations where others are only the thermometer.     Achievement vs. Fulfillment - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Wed. 5-13-26 #1875

    “Send Coach John a message” I found this amazing reminder (seems more and more amazing reminders that I am finding - messages that we all need) from Mark Hickie (@MPHickie) his message about the clip from Inky Johnson (@inkyjohnson)  - “Achievement is what you attain or accomplish. Fulfillment is something you experience when your journey, growth & relationships align with purpose. Fulfillment comes from who you become during the journey, how you impact others & whether your life aligns with purpose & values.”  Love the reminders about the importance of the journey that we are all going through in life. The people that are on the journey with us are so valuable. Achievement is what we acquire and fulfillment is what we become. The sooner we connect with this, I feel that our lives will become more valuable, more memorable - so much more meaningful. Our journey (people, things and events) all of it molds us into who we are. The thing is - we do the same for others as well. Great stuff! Deep stuff!     Ready? - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Tues. 5-12-26 #1874

    “Send Coach John a message” I found a gem from a “repeat difference-maker of doing good things” - Coach Ray Ostrowski (@CoachRayO3313) shared his thoughts on his Daily Quote - “You will never feel ready. But the moment changes when you decide to MOVE!”  This reminder that action does indeed cure fear along with adding confidence. The quote is this: “Ready? - You will never ‘feel ready’.  Ready is not a feeling - Ready is a decision. Confidence comes after the decision, not before it. You’ll never feel fully prepared. The moment changes when you decide to move.”  This hit head on for me in that at this moment, I hope my surger is tomorrow, but a few wrinkles have gotten in the way due to insurance company “issues”.  There are many things that I’m battling and that inner voice is one of the biggest. That is something that is connected to how I get things done I need to do along with preparing and recovering from this surgical event.     I'm On A One Day Contract - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Mon. 5-11-26 #1873

    “Send Coach John a message” I came across this awesome idea, almost a frame of mind that I know I need to have more often. It comes from Steve Gutzler (@SteveGutzler) “I’m on a ONE DAY contract.”  It’s a reminder for me to be my best so that at the end of the day, when I look in the mirror, that guy looking back at me will say - you’ve earned another contract for tomorrow to work hard, do good and be your best. It reminds me to have more “be in the moment more” moments, each and every day. It reminds me to keep fighting for the things I know I need to do and want to do. It reminds me to keep up the mindset of “not to grow weary in doing good”!  I want to fulfill to my wife, our two kids, my entire family, friends, etc., that they are glad that I’m here doing good things and serving others, encouraging others, helping others.     Your Next Move Matters - Motivation Monday Game Plan - #1872

    “Send Coach John a message” I love finding things that help me the moment I see them. This one is an example of that for sure. From Reads with Ravi (@readswithravi) there is this short but sweet & powerful nugget: “Your next move matters way more than your last mistake.”  I need to focus in a bit more on the next move for myself and not keep getting hung up on the past. When I’m thinking about the things that I am facing or that have to get done, I can really get in my own way with this somewhat negative mindset. Then, the thing I need to face, get through, get done, etc., becomes more difficult than it really is.  This is something I’m working on for sure. A very positive point about this - I don’t have to wait to work on it as there are things going on right now to practice getting better.     Abel Sanchez - Student Teaching A Teacher - Sunday Conversation With Coach Daly - 5-10-26 #1871

    “Send Coach John a message” I had the wonderful pleasure of sitting down (through Google Meet) with a former student - Abel Sanchez.  Abel was on my podcast a few years ago and it’s been a few years too long to finally have him on again.  The wisdom that this young man shares is not only something else that I cherish and count myself blessed to be able to keep learning from him, but I hope you are able to take away a few lessons for your use in your life. So many great connections to lessons he learned in high school and with him sharing them with us in this episode, he’s teaching me (again) the importance of always staying humble, looking to keep improving, and choosing kindness / love towards others and life in general.     Learn & Live These Lessons - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Fri. 5-8-26

    “Send Coach John a message” I found an awesome post because the post had a picture of Jim Rohn on it with one of his many wonderful life lessons. This was shared by Mark C. Crowley (@MarkCCrowley) and his intro to the post was this:  “It's a false dichotomy to think you can't care about your people and drive performance at the time. One doesn't come as a cost to the other.”  He’s right on target with this - caring about people helps out in so many ways in business and in life! We see way too many examples of what not caring is. Here are the thoughts from Jim Rohn: “Learn to be strong, but not rude; kind, but not weak; bold, but not a bully; thoughtful, but not lazy; humble, but not timid; proud, but not arrogant.”  Wow! What a great formula for living our best life. Of course we can connect other things that lead to a great life - but these are wonderful pieces to add to our life’s puzzle! Again, think of the many that are doing, saying, living, etc., the opposite of these gold nuggets.  Keep getting better my friends.
