Australia Post Gutted: 250 Post Offices CLOSED While CEO Paid Millions | Citizens Report 29 Oct 2026

Australia Post is closing post offices, selling off valuable property and paying its CEO millions — while communities lose access to essential services. This week on the Citizens Report, Robert Barwick and Richard Bardon discuss the campaign to save Australia’s post office network, the financial decisions behind its decline, and the case for a publicly owned bank operating through post offices. They examine CEO Paul Graham’s $3.1 million pay packet and how the sale of Australia Post’s property assets masked a $107 million underlying loss. They also revisit Christine Holgate’s fight to protect and expand Bank@Post, the $220 million deal with major banks, and how her ousting raised questions about the future of banking through post offices, particularly in regional communities. Additional updates this week cover: - The coming political and economic “perfect storm” - US midterm elections, Israeli elections, RBA interest rates and fuel prices - Australian Citizens Party (WA) 24 October 2026 Perth Seminar 24 October 2026 - Citizens Party (WA) - Perth Seminar Dr Brian Walker: AUKUS, Australian Sovereignty & the Road to WAR? - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QUYbYg5KYgU -------------------- Citizens Party Victoria - Please FOLLOW, Like and Share the posts ESPECIALLY if you are in VIC.
