    Ep. 24: Clueless with Nakalia

Woah. You guys. This episode is extra super special. I am joined by a teen. While our cultural references may differ, we both discovered the movie Clueless around the same age (though I'm pretty sure Nakalia never had it on VHS, like I did.)

PLUS, get the scoop on the latest in fashion. Seriously, there's a lot of fashion talk in this one and it's super interesting.

    Enjoy!

Ep 23: Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery with Scott Merrill

Austin Powers is a great movie if you're an 11 year old boy. What's it like to watch as an adult? How has this movie aged? Are we going to be able to sit through the whole thing? Listen and find out, why don't you?

Ep 22: The NeverEnding Story with Katie Merrill

It's time again for cat and dog chat with Katie and Kira! And I guess we also talk about a movie that we both used to watch a lot.

Ep. 21: Heavyweights with Andy Hughes

Ep. 21: Heavyweights with Andy Hughes

Sorry for the skipped weeks, friends. Sometimes there's just too much life stuff going on. But, I'm back with a bang, and by bang I mean extra fun long episode with my very thoughtful and entertaining friend Andy, who knows and loves this movie so well that he could recite it all from memory.

Join us as we get into the goofs and gags of this bonkers movie. Do you think a movie made in the 90's that centers around a fat camp is going to hold up in today's body-positive culture? Are summer camps problematic in the way they deal with Native American culture? Is Ben Stiller kind of a babe? Listen and find out.

Ep. 20: Square One with Nick Sorensen

It was really nice to talk to Nick about a very fun and educational math TV show that's definitely not as nerdy as he made it sound.

Ep. 19: Little Monsters with Katie Finn

Katie introduces me to Little Monsters, a fever dream of a movie with a very disconcerting main character.

Good times, great oldies

What a fun dip into movie nostalgia! ;)

Nakalia._. ,

Super awesome

So I have been listening to your podcasts and I love them a lot. I am a teenager so I think it’s super awesome to see how you and a guest reflect on something you experienced (by watching or listening) when you were my age, maybe younger. Jennie is my cousin so I started out listening to those and now every day on my bus ride to school and back home I’ve been making my way through them, one podcast at a time! Here is some food for thought: would you ever consider doing a podcast with a teenager now, and see how their perspective on something that is relevant to them and how it compares to what your teenage mind would have thought of the movie? Or even something that is nostalgic for you but also something that continues to be part of our teen culture today (clueless, 10 things I hate about you...)

@daniquinnjames ,

Cheers to this show!

Kira is such a fun host and I love that she totally admits where her gaps in pop culture are and that she has such awesome friends! I had tons of fun listening to this episode and can't wait for more!
