Welcome to the 21andsensory Podcast! My name is Emily and I'm an Autistic Graphic Designer, Illustrator and Podcaster in the UK. I have chatted to amazing neurodivergent guests from all walks of life including Authors, Actors, Illustrators, Artists, TikTokers, Educators, Activists, Writers, Speakers, Producers, YouTubers & Researchers to name a few (from EP17 onwards) This podcast started off life in 2017 with the first 16 episodes discussing my own sensory and mental health issues (and later chatting more on my late diagnosed autism and dyslexia!).     Episode 111: Special Guest, Samantha Morgan (Founder, campaigner, impact and inclusion consultant)

    Samantha Morgan is an autistic and ADHD impact and inclusion consultant, she is also a speaker and systems-change advocate working at the intersection of psychology, lived experience, and organisational practice. She is the founder of the neuro-accessibility consultancy IDInclusion.  She is also the creator of the prominent parliamentary campaign Not Everyone Drinks. Her work focuses on dismantling systemic barriers and addressing structural disadvantages faced by neurodivergent, disabled, and socio-economically disadvantaged groups. Having experienced significant social, educational, health, and disability-related barriers firsthand, Samantha brings a unique combination of professional expertise, academic knowledge, and lived experience to her work. She helps organisations identify and reduce complex barriers across education, employment, housing, health, and community services.     Episode 110: Special Guest, Chelsea Webster (The Joy Thief: Writer, Activist, Joy Seeker & Campaigner)

    On today’s show* I have the wonderful special guest Chelsea Webster. Chelsea is many things - an autistic adhder, writer, activist, joy seeker & campaigner to name just a few. You may know her as The Joy Thief online through her instagram and substack publication. Writing from a disabled, neurodivergent, and working-class perspective, her work centers on how modern societal power systems steal individual happiness, and how people can actively reclaim it. Chelsea is the cohost of the AuDHD Unpacked Podcast & creator of The Autism Support Group which is a low-cost, autistic-led, and neuro-affirming virtual space designed to connect and validate autistic adults.     Episode 108: Special Guest, Nathan Dunne (Author, Journalist and Critic)

    On this month's 21andsensory Podcast* I have Nathan Dunne as my special guest. Nathan was born in Brisbane, Australia and grew up in India. After graduating from the University of Sydney with the University Medal, he studied art history at Cambridge University and received a PhD from Birkbeck College, University of London. He has lectured at Harvard and Yale, and also worked for several years at Tate Modern. As a journalist and critic, he has contributed to many publications, including The Washington Post, The Atlantic, The Boston Globe, The Guardian, Slate and Artforum. Nathan is the author of 'When Nothing Feels Real', a memoir about depersonalisation which was published in June 2025. We have a really interesting chat about DPDR (depersonalisation and derealisation) and the onset for Nathan and how he has experienced it and Nathan and how he has experienced it and was diagnosed.     Episode 107: Special Guest, Dr Claire Bates (Academic Researcher, Founder and Leader of Supported Loving)

    On this month's 21andsensory Podcast I have Dr Claire Bates as my special guest. Claire is an active academic researcher holding honorary research associate positions at the both the University of Kent and Manchester Metropolitan University.  Claire is the Founder and Leader of Supported Loving which she founded in 2017 (having joined Choice Support in 2002) as a response to her PhD exploring relationships for adults with learning disabilities. It is a national network that promotes best practice with the goal of getting people with learning disabilities and autistic people the support they need, to enjoy the same sexual and romantic freedoms as everyone else.
