Session 28 - Song Backstory #4 - Eagle & the Lion iTunes |TuneIn | Stitcher | GooglePlay | SoundCloud Exploring the stories behind the songs. Eagle & the Lion iTunes | Spotify | Amazon Music | BandCamp Foreign streets you walk On your way to madness Subtle smiles you meet along the way The bird will talk expose your secret’s address She’s had it in for you since your wedding day They held you underground And made you swallow wine Spiked with turpentine And turned your walls to snakes Revealed your destiny Divined with your third eye That on the inside there was still sunshine What kind of lion would roar then flee so quickly And by your side a wounded wolf and sheep No sense to hide their wisdom trump your trickery Step outside your destiny awaits They bound you from behind And took your staff away The Eagle and the Lion Tossed in the flames As the smoke rose from the fire You breathed it in again Your tears turned into shapes The bed where she still sleeps The arrow plunging deep The diamonds set around The circle of the crown You had to fall to find That on the inside there was still sunshine YISROEL ARYE GOOTBLATT - Rhodes BRIAN STOLTZ - Guitar SCOTT METZGER - Guitar DIMITRI MODERBACHER - Upright Bass PETE KARP - Drums
