Knowing Faith

I just found this podcast after hearing Jen speak this fall at a church in Nebraska. It has been such an encouragement to my faith! You’ve probably covered this long ago, but do you have any tips for starting and leading a Bible study? I haven’t led a study just based on a book of the Bible before - I’ve always followed a curriculum or a study! Thank you for all you do to serve and encourage the Church!

Regularly listening to podcast is doing just what the knowing faith crew sets out to do: helps listeners learn to think theologically about everything. Kyle, a question: there seems to be a noticeable uptick in conversations around these being the “last days” - and not in the general sense of “ever since Christ’s ascension, these are the last days,” but “we seem to be experiencing indications that these are the last days” - even “Christ may return in 2033.” This is being said (albeit with “I’m not saying He will return in 2033 — but He might) from prominent leaders in the mainstream church, at least in America. So here’s the question: how are believers to navigate both the reality of Christ’s return with urgency, and how are we to hear and understand what is being promoted by prominent leaders in the American church? (Distinguishing that because that’s the one I am part of, so I can’t personally speak to other cultures.) Sometimes I wonder if it is crossing the line and getting into false teaching? Because it can definitely hit the questionably manipulative messaging…and yet, it can cause divisions in the church, so it seems important to carefully consider - I would really appreciate you all’s thoughts on it.

Hey Kyle, love the podcast and would highly recommend it to anyone curious about listening. I heard you mention in the latest episode that you read every review…so I thought I’d shoot you a Deep Discipleship question. Are you aware of any churches that have stretched the curriculum out beyond the 24 weeks. If so (or if not) do you think this would be a viable strategy for a local church to use?

Over the course of this past year, Knowing Faith has turned into one of my favorite podcasts… I eagerly anticipate when a new episode drops on Thursday mornings. These 3 very smart friends have struck the perfect balance of theological depth with banter and fun. I also thought it was cool when I found out Kyle Worley is the pastor of a church 15 minutes from my house. I plan on listening to this podcast for a long time to come!!
