    Kent Non-League Podcast - Episode 364

    A fantastic week for our clubs, with huge wins and moments to remember aplenty as March gets off to a flying start. Punjab United are in the FA Vase semi-finals after battling their way to victory over Downton and skipper Lea Dawson - back in the fold after a long period out - gives us his thoughts on the win, returning to fitness at the perfect time and the rise of the club. Erith & Belvedere are into the play-off spots after their solid start to life under Gary Alexander and the former Millwall striker discusses his time so far at the club and looks ahead to Friday night's visit of Sutton Athletic. And we also hear from Deal Town manager Steve King after his side's thumping win over bottom side East Grinstead to keep them right in the play-off mix.     We are back after our half-term break with three top interviews for you to enjoy and lots of chat - including a look ahead to Punjab United's huge FA Vase quarter-final clash. Faversham Strike Force manager Stuart Benfield reflects on his side's win at Larkfield & New Hythe, looking over their shoulders at the drop zone, adapting to life at Step 5 and the togetherness he helps will help his side through. Opposite number Fraser Walker cut a frustrated figure after the loss, which was his side's third in a row - but hopes this is their blip and that they will be better for it later in the season. And we hear from Tonbridge Angels chair Sophie Purves after their two great wins on the pitch and she also discusses plans to change to daytime training and hopes for the future of their Longmead Stadium.     Kent Non-League Podcast - Episode 362

    A busy week despite the weather playing havoc with the fixture programme once again - and two managerial changes lead the agenda this week. The first of them is the exit of Steve McKimm from Cray Valley and we discuss the ramifications of that decision and pay tribute to the job he did at the club in his time there, while the second is at Sheppey United, where Kevin Watson has been replaced by Ian and George Batten - sons of Ernie - after a poor run of form, and we catch up with Ian to discuss his return to the club, working alongside his brother and a look ahead to their first game in charge. We also hear from Sevenoaks manager Marcel Nimani after his side continued their good run with a 3-1 win at VCD in one of the few games to beat the weather.     We are back after a week away with three interviews as we look back at a busy week and ahead to this weekend's FA Vase last-16 clashes. Punjab United boss Chipie Sian discusses his side's big clash with Fisher - the first of a double header with their SCEFL rivals - and the progress the club is making both on and off the pitch. Chatham Town bowed out in their own last-16 tie as they were beaten 1-0 by Southend, and their manager Kevin Hake rues some refereeing decisions but takes heart from their excellent campaign in the cups - and now wants to make it a good season in the league too. And we hear from Dover boss Jake Leberl after his side's 3-2 home loss to league leaders Torquay, as he calls on the people of the town to get behind his side. Chislehurst Glebe saw off Hythe 2-0 to move eight points clear of the drop zone and boss Frankie Sawyer reflects on that win, improving things after a slow start, getting the best out of his star striker and the potential at the club. Erith Town boss Aaron Jeffrey has beaten Faversham and VCD in his first two games in charge and he discusses the job ahead of him, replacing a club legend and the ethos of his club.     Another busy week across the county, and while we of course mention the big story, our focus goes elsewhere as we, as always, look to promote the positives. And there's positives in spades for Chatham Town boss Kevin Hake after an incredible week - he discusses their forthcoming FA Trophy tie against Carlisle and the success of the club's women's team as things just keep getting better for the Chats. Dover may have bowed out of the Trophy themselves, but it's a big weekend for them with free entry for all when they host Eastbourne Borough - we hear from chairman Jim Parmenter about why the club has decided to open their doors to the community and his hopes to make it a day to remember. And it's all going well in the SCEFL for Bearsted - boss Kev Stevens reflects on the win over Rusthall, overcoming an injury crisis and hoping for a positive second half of the season.
