Broncos 53-Man Roster Reactions + AFC West Preview & Week 1 Chiefs Prep

Preseason is done, the 53 is set, and Kev Dan, David and Scott break down every roster decision that had Broncos Country talking — plus a full AFC West preview and what to watch when the Broncos open the season on Monday Night Football against the Kansas City Chiefs. We're less than two weeks from real football, and this crew is ready. In this episode: The 53-man roster is a reflection of how deep this team really is — why nobody surprising cleared waiversJustin Jolie to the Dolphins practice squad vs. Red Murdock sticking in Denver — the flip-flop nobody saw comingTyler Badie over Jaleel McLaughlin: it's a special teams call, and here's why coaches always think that wayWishing Jaleel well in Cleveland — and betting he shows up somewhere else before the year is outThe backup QB room feels unsettled — is this Jarrett Stidham's last year in Denver? Why Ehlinger got the third QB spot (hint: waivers) and how game-day elevations shake outLil'Jordan Humphrey makes the 53 as WR6 — the Bobby-Hill-on-the-track-team theoryThe Nate Bentley mystery: the weirdest move on the roster, and the "hiding him in preseason" rumorJonathon Cooper on the Commissioner's Exempt List — arraignment update, potential timeline, and why the Broncos are still fineQue Robinson is the guy — plus Jonah Elliss, Dondrea Tillman and how VJ rotates the edge without CooperWhy the Broncos won't sign Bobby Wagner (barring a Singleton or Strnad injury) AFC West preview: Raiders: Kirk Cousins over Fernando Mendoza tells you exactly what they think of this year — success means finding out if Mendoza, Brock Bowers and Ashton Jeanty are a real coreChargers: offseason champions again — center hurt, bottom-five interior O-line, Jesse Minter gone, and a first-time DC named O'Leary. The realistic ceiling is one playoff winChiefs: Mahomes' knee is the whole story. Rashee Rice rehabbed in prison, Xavier Worthy is 165 pounds, Kelce is "a million years old," and Kenneth Walker can't do it alone. The secondary is young and inexperienced — exactly what a Week 1 opponent wants to see Closing thoughts: Vance Joseph has answers for the dink-and-dunk offenses that gave us trouble late last year — our identity is defense, and Sean Payton is fine winning one-score games. Broncos 53-Man Roster Reactions & Chiefs Preview

The Broncos' 53-man roster is officially set — and the full Bourbon, Broncos and No B.S. crew is back to break it all down. Kev Dan is joined by Adam, John, and Scott the flag man for a live reaction show that starts with Denver's cuts, waiver claims, and practice-squad signings and ends with Broncos at Chiefs two weeks out on Monday Night Football. We hit the big surprises up front: three quarterbacks on the 53 including Sam Ehlinger as QB3, Justin Jolie waived and claimed by Miami, Mr. Irrelevant Red Murdock clearing waivers, and Dallin Bentley sneaking onto the roster with almost no preseason buzz. Adam gives an official Lucas Kroll fan club update from the practice squad, Scott stakes his case for Nate Adkins as a weekly first-touchdown lock, and the running back battle between Bidet, McLaughlin, and the out-of-nowhere Schrader gets sorted. From there we get into the state of the tight end room around Evan Engram, Adam Trautman, and Nate Adkins, whether Davis Webb can finally unlock the middle of the field, the Barron pick one year later, and why the Broncos have been in the middle-linebacker desert since Al Wilson. The second half is J.K. Dobbins' pinky promise vs. his injury history, Jonah Coleman's real role in the backfield, and whether Jarrett Stidham is on borrowed time as QB2 — with a Bill Polian detour into what "having a backup plan" really means in the NFL. We close on why the national media still isn't talking about the Broncos, the schedule ahead, and one hell of a matchup in week three: Quinn Meinerz vs. Aaron Donald. Live every Monday night at 8 p.m. MT (postgame), every Tuesday night at 7 p.m. MT (flagship), plus Tailgate Talk one hour before kickoff and Halftime Hash at the half on game days. Pregame: Broncos vs. Vikings — Preseason Week 3 Preview

David and Spotty preview the third and final preseason game of 2026 — Denver Broncos vs. Minnesota Vikings — with Bo Nix officially ruled out and most starters expected to sit. It's a roster-battle game, and the guys break down exactly who they're watching. In this episode: • Why Sean Payton and Davis Webb have zero incentive to open the playbook this week • The Brian Flores factor: why "godsend" is the right word for Bo Nix being out against the NFL's most aggressive blitz defense • Running back depth crunch — is Jaleel McLaughlin on the roster bubble behind R.J. Harvey and Tyler Badie? • Frank Crum vs. Cage Casey: the offensive line audition that actually matters • Rookie tight ends: still waiting for someone to show out • The Jonathan Cooper situation — court date Monday, potential 8-game suspension, and the UFL edge signing that tells you what the front office is planning for • Jahdae Barron isn't a bust — he's stuck behind Pat Surtain, Riley Moss, and Ja'Quan McMillian, and that's a good problem • Sai'vion Jones, Tyler Onyedim, and Eyioma Uwazurike — who steps up to fill the JFM rotation with Malcolm Roach? • Backup linebacker concerns: Red Murdock and Dorian York haven't shown enough behind Justin Strnad and Alex Singleton • Taylor Rapp waived — opening the door for J.L. Skinner or Arden Key • Score predictions from David and Spotty for Saturday night at Empower Field Join The Huddle at broncosandbourbon.com — daily Broncos content, fan forum, Pick 'Em with real prizes, roster, depth chart, and franchise history. $1 lifetime membership, no subscription. Broncos Fall 33-13 to Packers — But Bo Nix Is Back | Postgame Podcast

The season opener of the Postgame Podcast is here, and Kevin, John and Adam waste no time getting into it. The Broncos dropped their second preseason game 33-13 to Green Bay at Empower Field, but the box score buries the actual story: Bo Nix looked healthy, sharp, and completely unbothered by the ankle. Nix opened with a touchdown drive, hit Jaylen Waddle on a 35-yard strike, and put 10 points on the board in two drives before handing it off. RJ Harvey took a wheel route to the house. The offense, for two possessions, looked exactly like what you'd hoped. Then came everything else. Missed open-field tackles. Penalties that killed drives. A second quarter Green Bay owned 16-3. The guys don't sugarcoat it — this was sloppy, undisciplined football, and Sean Payton's standard doesn't allow for it. Also in this episode: Jahdae Barron vs. Kris Abrams-Draine filling in for Riley Moss (ribs — not serious, out for preseason game three)Jonah Coleman carving into a J.K. Dobbins / RJ Harvey timeshareThe roster bubble at running back: Jaleel McLaughlin, Tyler Badie, Cody SchraderDavis Webb's play-calling and what it tells us about the offenseThe QB2 "battle" that isn't a battle — Jarrett Stidham is Payton's guy, full stopPatrick Mahomes in a knee brace and the very real odds Kansas City finishes last in the AFC West (John says 3%, Adam says 10%, Kevin says 30%)Why the Chargers still don't pass the smell testThe Payton standard vs. the nice-guy Nathaniel Hackett era21 days until Broncos-Chiefs. Riley Moss days. Plus your comments all show long — Ken, Jeremy, Angelo, Michael, Sean and Jose all get airtime, and Richie from Orange and Blue Network takes comment of the night with "Riley Moss equals the Eminem of cornerbacks." Bo Nix Returns: Broncos vs. Packers Preseason Pregame

Bo Nix is back. For the first time since the January ankle injury against Buffalo, the Broncos QB1 takes the field Friday night at Empower Field for 10-15 snaps against the Green Bay Packers. David and Spotty break down what actually matters when the starter is that limited, what Sean Payton and Davis Webb are likely to show, and why the ankle is officially a non-issue in Denver. Beyond Bo, the biggest storylines heading into Week 2 preseason: Jaydn Ott with the ones? Not confirmed, but the rookie RB has been running so well with the twos that a first-team cameo would surprise nobody. Why the Broncos should get him meaningful reps early. The WR hierarchy is getting crowded. Pat Bryant is solidifying a real role. Waddle likely sits. That puts Marvin Mims and Troy Franklin into a contract-year competition for WR4/WR5 — and the guys break down why Mims' skill set may already be pointing him toward New England long-term.Tight ends and the Davis Webb–Evan Engram connection. They played on the same team before Denver. That's a relationship that could unlock the position Broncos fans have been waiting on since Shannon Sharpe.Jordan Love IS expected to play. Which turns this defense's second series into a legitimate stress test. The Broncos went 60+ sacks last year. Can they hunt a real QB early? The nickel corner logjam. Riley Moss is having a monster camp. Ja'Quan McMillian isn't giving up his role. That leaves 2025 first-rounder Jahdae Barron asking what the hell he has to do — a first-world problem if there ever was one.The Taylor Rapp signing is bigger than the headlines. A former Bills and Rams starter as your third or fourth safety? That's A-plus depth, and it puts real pressure on JL Skinner, Devon Key, and Tyson Anderson to earn their roster spot.Score predictions. David called Broncos 27, Falcons 10 last week (off by a field goal). Both guys make their Week 2 picks. Grab your bourbon, settle in, and get ready for Friday night football. Broncos Training Camp Preview: Full Roster Returns | Bourbon, Broncos & No B.S.

The entire Denver Broncos roster is back for training camp, and Kevin and Adam break down every storyline that matters heading into the 11th season of Bourbon, Broncos & No B.S. Adam's new BroncosAndBourbon.com article digs into the mixed messaging out of the front office — from the Jonathon Cooper situation to bringing Michael Wilhoite back on staff — and the guys don't pull any punches on where the franchise stands. They dig into Ben Powers' contract restructure, the backup quarterback battle between Jarrett Stidham and Sam Ehlinger behind Bo Nix, and a crowded wide receiver room featuring Courtland Sutton, Jaylen Waddle, Marvin Mims Jr., Pat Bryant, Lil'Jordan Humphrey, and the Troy Franklin trade chatter. The running back competition gets messy fast with RJ Harvey, Jonah Coleman, Jaleel McLaughlin, and Tyler Badie all fighting for reps, while the CB2 job comes down to Riley Moss, Jahdae Barron, and Que Robinson opposite Pat Surtain II. Kevin and Adam close with their favorite players to watch — PS2, Nik Bonitto, Quinn Meinerz, Garett Bolles, long snapper Mitchell Fraboni, and Talanoa Hufanga — plus the $1 lifetime membership at BroncosAndBourbon.com (going to $5 at Week 1 kickoff against Kansas City), the Easter egg contest, and Kevin's Super Bowl 61 prediction.
