"PikaScience" - Where did all the Pokemon go?

The gang's all here to talk about urbanization, deforestation, habitat loss, habitat fragmentation, economic incentives, and how this all is connected together for your local ecosystems. We're going to look at examples of Pokemon losing their homes, and how conservation has worked in the Pokemon world, and what you can do in ours. We will talk about policy and economic solutions to this massive problem and hopefully leave you with the tools you need to save the "Pokemon" in your own backyard.

This is going to be our last official episode for the season and we are taking the summer off, minus a few bonus episodes and online events. We'll be recording interviews during that time and returning at the start of the school year with all new content. Stay tuned on social media and discord.

You can send in your recordings of our opening sting, "This show is part of the PikaScience podcast. Studying the intersection of gaming and science." and email it to us and it could show up on a future episode: pokesciencepodcast@gmail.com

#Trigger Warning, Discussion of Rape in Greek Mythology#

Ben and Maddison are back after a pause. This time they are looking at Greek mythology and all of the wonderful monsters in D&D that come from it. We'll look at Gorgons/Medusa, Minotaur, Lamia, eidolon, and Pegasus. Maddison will give some of her most unique tips for DMs wanting to run these creatures in their campaigns. Most importantly we will discuss why Zeus and his brothers are awful and why Hera is truly a monster to every poor woman Zeus took advantage of.

Amazing

This show is amazing. Granted, I do miss Lucas Lectures, but still great, I would love it if you would finish the mini series of single-type-focused episodes. (IE: Drako Special, Pick your Poison, Burnin' Up)

My favorite Pokémon is Falinks

Can you please talk about Falinks (Fay-links) and the nacli evolution chain? Keep up the good podcast! I listen every night now.

The Maddison show

An inconsistent show that doesn’t know what it wants to be. It would be great if Maddison didn’t cut people off and would let others talk
