News: Disney partnered with AccuWeather to create a new forecasting system called “Disney Weather Check” specifically for their theme parks and resorts. The service has its own mobile setup that alerts guests with real-time updates and matches Disney’s internal safety rules. News: The line “please pull on the yellow tab” may be headed to Yesterland. Disney has filed a new patent for a system that could help improve ride load and dispatch times. News: A popular attraction in Disney California Adventure is moving towards extinction. Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sully to the Rescue! has had a permit filed with the city of Anaheim for demolition. In addition to the attraction, the Hollywood Lounge beverage stand is also included in the demolition permit. The timeline to start demolition is not until at least late 2027. - https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2026/04/19/confirmed-this-disney-ride-will-permanently-close-in-2027/ We are just about a week away from the timeline expanding at Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge. This has been a long time request from guests who want to interact with characters from across the trilogy in the Star Wars themed land. There is some criticism that the characters are not close enough to their appearance in the films, but we will have to wait and see. MyDisney Wallet has been added to the account settings where you can add your credit or debit card for payments. News: Some more seating has been added to Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure. The former FastPass distribution area has been converted into a seating area, with covered tables, and themed elements making it fit right in with the theming of the area. The company is planning on cutting up to 1,000 jobs, mostly in the marketing division, which was recently consolidated. The DescenDANCE Party was also back, along with favorite Disney Channel characters including Tale Spin, Lilo & Stitch: The Series, and more. Penny Proud, from The Proud Family was new this year. Also new this year was an exhibit at the Starcade in Tomorrowland that featured Disney Channel artifacts from the Walt Disney Archives.
