In this episode of Rocky Mountain Surgery, we spoke to Dr. Robert Meguid, thoracic surgeon at the University of Colorado Hospital, about his life-threatening illness and how that experience changed his perspective and his approach toward patient care. Dr. Meguid hopes that by sharing his story, he will shine light on many of the emotional and psychological struggles patients face through their illness and recovery, and how providers can be allies for their patients in ways beyond treating disease.
