    Spider-Man 3 (2007)

    Spider-Man 3 (2007)

We're strutting our stuff and enjoying our new looks as we walk out of the Daily Bugle and talk about Spider-Man 3! Before we dive into Jake Freer's Patreon pick, though, we crack open the mailbag, check in on Thanksgiving week stuff, and chat about the first deleted scene from The Fast and the Furious in our minute-by-minute breakdown. Then, we welcome in Nate Milton (@N8Mozaik, The Rocky Maivia Picture Show) to talk about all things Peter, MJ, Venom, and more. We've got a lot of thoughts about the villains in this movie (including the real villain), the music choices (both the songs that were included and the ones that should have been included), and the economics of the Daily Bugle. (Movie conversation begins around 25:55.)

    Hobbs & Shaw (Lap 7)

    Hobbs & Shaw (Lap 7)

We welcome back Nico Vasilo (who would like you to call him Lil Hobbs) and Kevo Risse (who will not be doing that, thank you very much) to talk about Hobbs & Shaw on today's episode! Before we bring in the .html guys, though, we open the mailbag (including an email mocking us like a wrapped gift beneath the Christmas tree!) and then spend 45 minutes talking about the, well, 45 minutes of alternate, extended, and deleted scenes from Hobbs & Shaw. Then, we bring in Nico and Kevo to talk about the final F&F movie this lap. We discuss how the movie focuses on the wrong things, whether or not it's a Fast & Furious movie, and who -- exactly -- is this Deckard Shaw? We also debate whether it's more Faulkner or Sedaris, whether or not we saw *another* franchise shift, and how valuable specificity really is. (Movie conversation begins around 1:01:10.)

    Finding Nemo (2003)

    Finding Nemo (2003)

We're wrapping up Animation Week on 2 Fast 2 Forever with a journey under the sea -- and around the globe -- in Finding Nemo! Before we just keep swimming, we officially close out The Fast and the Furious in the Fast and the Furious Minute. (At least until next time, when we start working through its deleted scenes.) Then, we experience tragic loss (hey, Finding Nemo is a Pixar movie, after all) and then begin our search for our missing son like we're Dom trying to rescue baby Brian. (Movie conversation begins around 34:00.)

    Turbo (2013)

    Turbo (2013)

Turbo marks the kick-off of Animation Week on 2 Fast 2 Forever, and it's surprisingly appropriate in more ways than one! Before we head to the Indianapolis 500, though, we open a week-long mailbag and work our way through six minutes of credits in the Fast and Furious minute. Then, we get animated (so sorry) to talk about Turbo and all of its fastnections. We also talk about how we wish there was more Michelle Rodriguez in the movie, and bemoan the negative stereotypes (as well as the movie's small, weird decisions) that surround our main (human) characters. (Movie conversation begins around 50:00.)

Fast & Furious & Evolving: The Forward Momentum of Representation in the Fast & Furious Franchise

Fast & Furious & Evolving: The Forward Momentum of Representation in the Fast & Furious Franchise

The Fast & Furious franchise spans 20 years, 10 films, 2 short films, an animated series, 16 soundtracks, a worldwide stunt show tour, 7 videogames, several toy lines, and even a theme park attraction. Throughout the franchise (10th highest grossing film franchise to date), the face of culture (and film!) changed -- beginning with a movie with barely any female characters with agency, featuring stereotypes and slurs, to the franchise creating spin-offs centering around characters of color and women and even trans-character inclusive video games, join the voices of the 2 Fast 2 Forever podcast, Joey & Joe Two, along with former guests Rachel Shepherd, Kevo Risse, & Nico Action as they examine the ever-evolving media powerhouse.

The Fate of the Furious (Lap 7)

The Fate of the Furious (Lap 7)

We're nearing the end of the lap -- or are we? -- and we're headed to The Fate of the Furious, which metaphorically begins with one of our guests and ends with the other. Before we turn our backs against the family, though, we bid farewell (sort of) to the original movie as we (kind of) wrap up the first installment of The Fast and the Furious Minute. Then, we welcome in Kevo Risse and Nico Vasilo (.html) to talk about The Fate of the Furious... and a whole lot of Batman and Superman. We also talk about whether or not this "feels" like a Fast & Furious movie, the effectiveness of Dom as a solo villain, and which of her "stories" Queenie blows off family obligations to race home to see. (Movie conversation begins around 27:25.)

I’ve stopped listening to all other podcasts

I used to listen to many podcasts until one day I ran across this one. Now I need nothing else. A hilarious and yet poignant look into the best and most realistic film franchise ever created. Joe and Joe 2 are continuously fun to listen to and bring in a thoughtful array of guests to dig deep into Dom, Brian, Letty, and The Family.

Ride or Die and subscribe!

5 stars!

Randomly stumbled across the podcast maybe 3 months ago. I’m a car guy and F&F fan, mostly the first 3 movies. I prefer the cheesy car one liners over the newer action focused movies. Anyways, love the banter and the rabbit holes you guys will go in over movie details. Anyways, keep it up and 5 stars!
