What I appreciate about this podcast so much is its ability to speak truth to men's experiences across the board. Not just a monolithic, homogenous look at men in our society and culture. No, I'm talking about a hard, uncomfortable and all-inclusive look at all men in our society. No stone is left unturned. Charles does an awesome job, time and time again, at asking the deep questions and exploring those regions that are either a) unexplored; or b) too dark and scary for most to venture into. Charles uses that opportunity to dive right in, to get into the nitty gritty. And he did this again on his latest podcast with Thomas Garvin, RN, as they explored the impact of religion on Tommy growing up knowing he was gay. Despite being shunned from and by the church after coming out, Tommy discusses in a beautiful, loving and accepting way just how important it is to approach life from God's true perspective of love and light. This episode, along with so many others, illuminate the importance of looking at ourselves as men in a vulnerable light in order to grow stronger, not only as individuals, but a collective.
