    The Lighthouse and The Whaler (Live at the Cleveland Sessions)

    Cleveland indie rock stars The Lighthouse And The Whaler broke out some of their newest music for the latest episode of The Cleveland Sessions. The band played its two newest singles, "Into The Unknown" and "Future Blind," along with a song off of its newest EP "Paths" called "Made Of Water." The songs, singer-guitarist Michael LoPresti said, are a signal to the direction the band is taking. Singer-guitarist Michael LoPresti also talked with cleveland.com music writer Annie Nickoloff recently in a wide-ranging interview that took place at the Cleveland Botanical Garden.

    Langhorne Slim (Live at the Cleveland Sessions)

    Roots-music maestro Langhorne Slim (aka Sean Scolnick) rolled through Cleveland with his Lost At Last Band in June of 2018 to promote his latest album, “Lost At Last: Vol. 1.” They took time to record a Cleveland Sessions video before their show at the Music Box, playing “Funny Feeling” and “Life is Confusing.” The band features Langhorne Slim (lead vocals, guitar), Mat Davidson (various instruments), Casey McAllister (keyboards), Malachi DeLorenzo (drums) and Paul Defigilia (bass). Slim also recorded an interview with cleveland.com’s Annie Nickoloff, talking about everything from his latest music projects to his affection for the late Tom Petty.

    By Light We Loom (Live at the Cleveland Sessions)

    Husband-and-wife act By Light We Loom features vocalist Shanna Delaney and guitarist-vocalist Eric Ling. They got their start in the popular folk band Bethesda. The duo’s synth-filled indie-pop takes vocalist Shanna Delaney's signature pipes to new heights. They performed a three-song set as part of “The Cleveland Sessions,” a concert video series brought to you by cleveland.com, in partnership with the Music Box Supper Club and oWOW internet radio. The set includes performances of the songs “Stand,” “Clouds Will Cover Us” and “Caught in the Tide.” As part of the series, they also sat down for an interview with cleveland.com music reporter Annie Nickoloff at Cleveland’s Loganberry Books.

    Samfox (Live at the Cleveland Sessions)

    Cleveland’s Samfox delivers an infectious blend of blues, soul and rock ’n’ roll. The six-piece band, anchored by vocalists Braxton Taylor and Charity Cunningham, made its debut in 2016 with “The Feels,” which showcased their gritty, slinky sound. The band’s raucous live act and electrifying soulfulness have attracted fans from across the musical spectrum. Samfox released its latest singles, “Baby Blues” and “Misunderstood,” in 2017. The group performed July 28, 2018, for “The Cleveland Sessions,” a new cleveland.com video music series sponsored by Miller Lite in partnership with the Music Box and oWOW digital radio. The setlist included “Double Negative,” “Charmagne” and “Daredevil.” They also sat down for an interview with cleveland.com reporter Nikki Delamotte.

    Bad Bad Hats (Live at The Cleveland Sessions)

    The Minneapolis indie-rock band Bad Bad Hats will release it new album, "Lightning Round," on Aug. 3. The group, front by singer Kerry Alexander, was in Cleveland recently for a gig at the Beachland Ballroom and Tavern, and took time to perform for "The Cleveland Sessions," a new cleveland.com video music series brought to you by Miller Lite. The group performed two songs "Midway" and "Write It On Your Heart," for the video series. "Midway" is from the band's 2015 album "Psychic Reader," and "Write It On Your Heart" is a new single off of the forthcoming "Lightning Round" album. They also sat down for an interview with cleveland.com reporter Anne Nickoloff.

    The Jack Fords (Live at the Cleveland Sessions)

    The Jack Fords (Live at The Cleveland Sessions) The Jack Fords have played just about every club in Cleveland and shared stages with the likes of Michael Stanley, James Gang and Joe Bonamassa. But the band's biggest gig may be ahead of them. The Jack Fords will perform on Sunday, Aug. 26, at the InCuya Music Festival, one of the biggest music events to come to downtown Cleveland in over 20 years. The fest features headliners New Order, the Avett Brothers, Sza and several other national and regional acts. As a warm-up, The Jack Fords participated in the most unique episode of The Cleveland Sessions yet, performing on a pontoon boat as it drove around the Cuyahoga River. The Veteran Cleveland rockers then sit down for a "Cleveland Sessions" interview with cleveland.com reporter Troy L. Smith, talking music, live performance and their upcoming gig at the InCuya Music Festival. The band features lead-vocalist and guitarist Brent Kirby, lead guitarist Bobby Latina, bassist Ed Sotelo and drummer Greg Campolieti.
