Women make up half of the world's population, and yet history books often consign them to the sidelines. They are dismissed as merely the wives of powerful men; babymakers and nothing more. Yet women have been the driving force behind history for millennia, from female Pharoahs, warrior princesses and pirates, to the revolutionaries who sought to topple the male-dominated political systems of their day. From host of the popular 'Queens of England Podcast', The Other Half tells the forgotten and ignored stories of the most powerful and influential women in history.

One of THE best
He’s so good factually but he also is immensely entertaining. I only hope he decides to go to the male side or different historic avenues. His voice is melodic and combines History with the human stuff you want to know. I just love him
Thoroughly researched
I’m a “Yank” with a soft spot for British history and Mr Boulton presents very satisfactory podcasts about History’s women. I first met him through his queens of England series and have followed him to The Other Half. His programs are beautifully researched with a healthy sprinkling of the real life anecdotes that put the teeth in the stories of history. His presentation style is chatty, so much nicer than a presenter droning on from a script. In short, The Other Half is a total winner.
Charmed
I continue to be charmed by Mr. Bolton's podcast. I have listened to every episode, some, many times over. I am ever so grateful he has taken to speaking a bit more slowly.
Thanks for good podcasts.
