Donna and Tim have been able to create a podcast that most others, with two hosts have not. They have an interaction, which is a great addition to the show, but they don’t make it about them. I don’t know what their relationship is, if they are a couple or simply work colleagues, but they obviously have a great deal of respect for each other, even when they don’t agree.
As an American, I enjoy hearing about their Scottish culture (and well as their beautiful accents) and their perspectives on ours. Both of them are kind, humane and insightful about people, which is a rarity these days. There is a part of the show, when Donna is talking in a way that sounds like a story. I assume she (or both of them) has written the copy. It is completely engrossing, so well written. I’m kind of embarrassed to say that it takes me back to my childhood and one of my favorite things was my father’s voice reading to me from a book. There is something so special about being told a story, especially when I can learn about the women that I never learned about in school. Donna and Tim are the real deal. They
are not just “talking heads”. They are emotional and passionate at times. It makes them very relatable and engaging.
